The first time I went to college, I took up Bachelor of Elementary Education with Specialization in Values Education in La Consolacion College, Caloocan. I really like it there and if we had not move to another city, I would have graduated there. What I really liked about it was that it is prestigious, there are only few Teacher Education Students and we're like a small family there, plus, it's near our home.
How about you? Where was your first college or university? What course or program did you take? What do you liked most about it?

I studied in University of Santo Tomas for college as well as for medicine. I am from Batangas City and my mom wanted to send me to a university in Manila. It's a loooooooong story but in the end, I chose UST. I took up Medical Technology and like I said, I continued to pursue Medicine. I love my school. I am a proud Thomasian. I love the fact that they still integrated Theology and Ethics in all colleges up to Medicine. Up to now they still uphold the Thomasian creed. And I'm proud of that. UST will be celebrating it's quadricentennial celebration soon (January 28) and I'm looking forward to celebrating 400 years of excellence in education. =)
PS I have friends from La Consolacion College, Caloocan =)

Hi there kay charmed MD! Thank you very much for your response.
Wow, UST is really a prestigious university. Not everyone can get in. My cousin also graduated there but his course was MassCom. His major was broadcasting, I think, but I'm not really sure. It's nice that you have friends from LCC Caloocan. I studied there in 1999.

I studied at De La Salle Lipa. I enjoyed my college days not because three big malls surround the campus but also i have many memorable experience with my teachers and trainors. What I like most in my subject was theology because the subject and professors gave me practical ideas about what is really happening nowadays

Hi there Blueblink! Thank you very much for your response.
It's always nice when you can view different social issues from different angles and especially when people actually listen when you voice out your opinion and can honestly give answers to your questions without being judgmental. I like that in our Political Science Class in LCC Caloocan. Having malls right outside the campus will always be a big plus for me.

Hi there Zills 66! Thank you very much for your response.
Homeschooling is one thing that I would love to try but I don't think it is recognized here in the Philippines. I know a lot of people who haven't heard of it at all. I admire parents who are able to homeschool their children effectively, or yourself, in your case. I think it's great and I have heard that there are successful people who were homeschooled when they were young.
