Tough Or Easy!

The Christian life – is it tough or easy? Which is it supposed to be? Doe our faith is Jesus Christ cause us difficulty, hardship, suffering, and loss? Or does it pave for us an easy road to heaven?
These aren’t easy questions. But if we look at some of the people in the Bible – the ones we admire and respect for their obvious faithfulness to the Lord – we see that they didn’t have a life ease. Paul, for example, faced difficulties that would make most us of wonder where God is: shipwrecks, imprisonments, beatings, and other kinds of abuse (2 Corinthians 11:23-38). It seems he was better of before he started following Jesus.
One of famous author wrote, “Christianity is a serious and demanding religion. When it is delivered as easy and amusing, it is another kind of religion altogether.” He’s right. Jesus Himself said, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me” (Matthew 16:24). That’s a clear call for self-denial.
Paul was given a task, and he did it wholeheartedly for God’s glory, no matter what the cost (Acts 20:24). Are we willing to do what God has called us to do with the same dedication, whether it is easy or tough?
I do not ask for easy paths along life’s winding roads, but for the promised grace and strength to carry all its loads.
Following Jesus is always right – but seldom easy. What is your opinion about this

I basically have no religion but i do believe in supreme power because miracles do happen.
we all know what is right or what is wrong so i didnot bother to take up any religion or their teachings because at the end they all means the same."FAITH".
Any belief or religion is good as long as we serve the purpose of humanity.

@ visavis I would give the credit to Nature and its mysteries. No one teach better than nature.
no offence brother,,but God is just a term to give a "full stop" for every rising queries about nature.
In my exam I did for 23 marks and i got 28(exact pass mark) !! Lets see how science explains this.

I am not a Christian and so would not comment anything on this
But yes, In today's world following the paths of Goodness/Truth is always difficult and never easy. Most of the Religions preach and show almost the same thing - The path of being good and a simple life... But the thoughts and desires take over and we become what we are.

visavis, those who make a conscious effort to become Christian for them leading a Christian life is not easy. The reason is being Christian is being a kindly and a humane person. One should naturally be a Christian. Meaning one should not pretend to be a Christian, i.e., one must not pretend to be a kindly and a humane person.
If one is trying to be a kindly and humane person then he has to master his opposing tendencies. One who does so is only pretending. He is not naturally kindly and humane person.
True Christian is the one who truly adores and worship Christ. He believes that Christ is the Son of God. To him Christ is the only way. One who truly adores Christ in him Christ abides as Holy Spirit. He takes care of his tendency to commit sin.
Paul suffered because he was trying to convert others to Christianity. He was trying to make them kindly and humane though they were not. Therefore, they rebelled against him and persecuted him. One must reveal in himself the Christian conduct and others would try to emulate him. If they do not believe that Christ is Son of God and he is the only way they would suffer. If they believe in him then Christian life will not be tough for him.

The world brings so many challenges and it is through hurt and pain that we rediscover our God, our faith and our values. Without the suffering and pain we would continue living in the world and being of the world. It may be difficult at first but once you focus on your spiritual life, it becomes your anchor for life. Nothing can sway you. It ultimately protects you and keeps you in a state of peace and calm. Nothing of this world is going to 'bring us home'. Our faith is what we are going to need on the other side of life. Nothing of this world will be of any importance. Only those we have loved and our walk with God

hi there friend. Christian living is, we must admit, a very challenging and tough living. we struggle in every problems and obstacles we face each day. however, Christian living can never really be that "tough" as we know it if we have strong faith, hope, and love for God and to each and everything we face in our lives. difficult things can be alleviated with Jesus Christ on our side. God never give us problems that He knows we cannot handle with ourselves. so we must face it with all the courage, never-ending hope, and faith in God. God bless you my friend. and see you around!

Ideally, being a Christian should be easy. However, in real life, it isn't always so. In some countries where Christians are the minority, it can be dangerous to admit that one is a Christian. Even here in the United States, a nation that was built on Christian values, being a dedicated Christian is becoming less and less popular. We are sometimes ridiculed for always being completely truthful and never cheating. When we counteract something that is considered politically correct with "the bible says" we are in danger of finding ourselves charged with hate crimes.

I don't find it tough to lead a christian life. I find it an easy thing to do. just following faith and holding on to beliefs makes the path an easy one to follow.

Tough in some ways - people insult and patronize me because I won't lie to get things done my way. There are times when I know I should do something to help someone but it's WAY too much trouble and I don't feel like it.
Easy because when these things come up, God (whatever God actually is) helps me deal with it, sometimes to the point where I have done things for good that I had no intention of doing. Like when I want to want to do something, but don't want to on my own and I find myself suddenly doing it happily.
About no miracles happening, I've seen one myself. That doesn't mean it isn't simply unexplained perhaps, but just the fact that there are so many things humans are capable of is miraculous.
