Anyone who work as a designer here? Any kind of type: graphic designer, fashion designer, product/industrial designer or artist etc. Can you share your experiences with us? Well, what kind of design/art are you designing/creating, how long have you worked, do the work harsh and you are requested to work overtime frequently?
Well, I've been as a product designer for two years, and my company isn't very harsh, but my friend who is a graphic designer told my he always got a lot of job and sometimes need to work overtime, and the other companies in the graphic area are the same.
I want to know how's the situation in the other country?
p.s. I would be glad if someone could correct my grammar mistake=) thanks a lot

I've worked for a manufacturing company as a graphic artist before. The workload actually depends on the peak season. Peak season meaning exhibits and redesigns at the start of the year. There would be days that we need to render overtime so we could finish the job. In addition, there would also be days where we would surf the net all day because there's no project lined up.
I guess the workload really depends on the company you are working for. I think it is not constricted on where you are in the world.

I've worked at a T shirt company before and it was pretty laid back. It wasn't a big company yet and it was really easy. But I think the company closed down now. I think it depends on the company. I've known people who were graphic designers for a company and they had a lot to do and needed to do over time to get work in for deadline. But other work freelance and can manage how many clients they want to take care of so, I think it depends.
