Do you bypass a discussion you might like but a condition turn you off?

All of us know that for those who starts discussion threads, there comes a time when we might choose to award a best response. My question is:
1. When will you award it? As soon as you feel that an answer deserves it or wait for several weeks to screen through before the award? Or you don't bother to award?
2. If you come across a discussion where the award has been assigned, would it turn you off from adding to the discussion?
I am curious.

No discussion on myLot is ever "closed" Awarding a best response simply means a response to the originator of a discussion was outstanding in some way.
Let me give you the first discussion on myLot that was not deleted due to any violations of such. Reason why I say first is because the first and second were deleted:
http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/3.aspx
Notice on there that I responded to that about a month ago, and that discussion is way over 4 years.
Many times I come across a discussion with the best response and I still contribute to it. Whether or not the member is still here has no bearing as the discussions are infinite and are utilized in other web forums.

I do enjoy myLot quite a bit, I find it to be very much fun, learning experiences and have developed a great deal of wonderful members here.
By the way the posts I have is only for 5 months of discussions.. LOL My first two months I spent literally learning the site and not being active. So I do live up to my name.
As for my links, I do really well and each provides payments proofs. I do enjoy sidetick most as there are a great deal of wonderful members in the site.
Good luck to you and I wish you a wonderful success on myLot.

Yes, I went over to the link and I see what you mean. I just wonder if the person who started it will read the response for something he posted 5 years ago? But at least the one you posted to replied you. Just my curious mind..
By the way, I see you responded to many discussions threads and you certainly live up to your name. I am encouraged.
Went to your profile and see lots of links to make money...cool...do they all work? I love the pic on the sidetick. nice face.

Whether the best response has been awarded or not, i would surely respond to that so long as it's started by my friends, or i'm interested in that discussion. I won't let such things affect the way i respond because it means money to me. Besides, mylot is nice place to chill out, and let's not allow ourself to be too bothered over such little things.

Yes, myLot is a nice place to chill out, and it is always reassuring to hear people are not too hung up on the BR thingy. You are right. Even though BR could have been awarded, better opinions might come along and benefit the rest who come after.

No because maybe a point I have isn't mentioned in the discussion. We have all proceeded ahead with something without total knowledge of what we were doing. It is still a discussion, it isn't closed.

I really like the spirit of the contributors. Yes, the discussion goes on, and hardworkinggurl has shown a response to a 5 year old discussion. I am convinced.

I go by instinct i guess! Like sometimes i enjoy reading a response so much that i don't wait for another and just award it! At others i just wait and read and then take my own good time! not something which everyone can do! I mean i don't recommend it but that's how i go about deciding!!
No for me my response is a contribution towards better understanding of the subject and to communicate with others!! Best response is an added bonus!!
