Adhiz I think you just making generalization because I believe each dining place has their own consumer, the prove they still survive until this day. We can see from warteg who still had many consumer even a western restaurant open near it. I personally not a fans of any Warteg or KFC because they are not suitable for my taste. There is time in my life I love Mc Donald and KFC so much its when I was child and teen because all my friend go there to eat and they always has play ground in their restaurant or give toy if we buy certain food. So its not the taste of food what make me keep coming back in thats time but they toy and play ground. Now I see their food as boring food and taste bland. I prefer Indonesian food with many range of choice, price and taste. Food hunting always great experience like finding super delicious Gado-gado in unexpected place or try something thats recommended by friend who had the same taste. Indonesian food is great but warteg is not the only dining place available for Indonesian food.

Not all the younger generation now, forget culture. I saw that many young people, who preserve the culture. I am sure, the younger generation of Indonesia, is still concerned with culture.

I have been to Indonesia a few times. I have been to places in Java and Sumatra. Indonesia is a beautiful country , indeed culturally very unique and very rich. I have great respect to the country's culture and traditions. I had a chance once to see the "Ramayana" festival show. Oh, it was so amazing and impressive.

We all have culture to be proud of. It is unique and it is one way which other people can distinguish us from other countries. Western culture has influence most of Asian countries and we can see them in our everyday life like the food we ea, clothes, the language but we should not forget our own products and culture. We should love them because in the end, we are still what we are. If you are Indonesian, you'll always be an Indonesian whatever you do to change your life. I am a Filipino and I have seen some Filipinos, too who are shy of what they are. I just hope, they will realize their mistakes.

This just a matter packaging, bro .... western culture and western restaurants like KFC liked by our people because packed in a modern, practical, easy and quick. If our culture packaged in a modern package, I think it can defeat the culture and things that smell west. After packaging, the most important is the issue of cultural imagery. Thought and Knowledge of teenagers now have to start refreshing again about the culture. Not only the traditional culture, but all forms of culture must be explained to the teens. This is important because the culture can only survive as long as the culture that can adapt to society and one culture to survive is to do the modification of culture itself

it is unfortunate it did happen, the crisis of culture and personality are also happening in another country. I personally no problem with eating in WARTEG or other similar.

It's very sad, many young people, who do not care about the culture. Era of progress, and cultural influences from outside, make sure the younger generation with its own culture. The government should give full attention to this problem, so that Indonesian culture is not forgotten.

I think its a common problem for our country, I also have same concerns about this matter. Our peoples have lose their own identity as a nations. There no proud to become an Indonesian to wear their own clothes, or even to eat their own traditional foods. I do hope that our government to think about this and make some movement like campaign to love Indonesia.

i think they should go to Indonesian restaurant. then they will feel what is the happiness of taking native food at native place. i am from India, here also people going to western restaurant but steel they feel that Indian food is more testy and healthy.

I think they should be more proud! they have no reason not to enjoy their culture! I hate KFC, even if it tastes good I am not proud of it because it's not healthy! I never even go to McDonalds or Burger King because they cross the line of unhealthy diets. I would be much more proud of a healthy, original and cultural meal.
