I have lived in what is deemed the 'bible belt' for my entire life. As a young child and as a young adult I have been interested in religion. All religions, I love the how, why of peoples beliefs.
We moved to Ozark,Alabama (about 3 hours from our original home) about a year ago and WOW! The people hear are unreal! The kids go to a PUBLIC school where the Federal law of separate church/state is in effect but not practiced at all. the first day of school the TEACHERS asked them what church they went to. My son responded( because both my children are educated in the law and what teachers can and cannot do) that is none of your buisnes. So the teacher passed it around to all KIDS and teachers that he is an Athiest. WTF!! They have a bible study that goes on during school hours and while the kids are not required to go they are STRONGLY encouraged with part incentives and the fact if not then the adults will pass rumors about them.
this ticks me off on sooo many levels. First off What my family believes is none of anyones buisness second off there is a law that protects(or is supossed too but hard to believe when school has the fact they are opposed to the law posted proudly on their site!) I am all for people believing in whatever they want to and I am all for people wanting to share their religion with the world but to force children and judge anyone is discusting..Most religions preach about not judging and all that rot but all I see is judging and crap. And that is just toward the children they treat adults much worse.
My beliefs are MY buisness If I chose to share them then great.. you are free to ask about them and I am proud to share them. I am sure they are close to if not exactly like yours but the point is they are mine and how dare you judge me and my children based on something you know nothing about or if you actually practice your beliefs judge at all..

Did you expect everyone to follow the law? HMmmm I don't think there is a place in a world without crime so undoubtedly this thing you say unreal is very realistically sounding to me.

I don't expect everyone to follow the law but public schools yes I do. I understand one or two teachers breaking the law but not an entire school. No child should be made to feel like crap because their teacher does not like what they believe.
