I am a member of several survey sites, as well as PTC and writing sites. I have made some money, but not a lot. How do you turn this in on your income tax form? Do all of the sites send you a form that tells you how much money you have made? I know nothing about doing taxes (we have someone else do it), but whenever you enter some income, they always put in an employer ID number. This is my first year making money online so could someone please help with how to do this. Thanks.

If you made less than $500 on each of these sites then you don't have to worry about it. You don't have to report anything under that amount unless the site you are writing for requires it. If they do they will send you a form to sign, I believe it is a 1040 sign. Any site where you have earned their required amount for tax recording is required to send you a form, if they don't you have not made enough on there and don't have to worry about it.

If you have someone do your taxes, they will definitely explain this to you. Generally, this type of income falls under "Self-Employed Income" or whatever it is termed in the taxation structure where you live. You will not always receive tax forms for this kind of income... the onus is on you to keep your own records :)

Most sites will not send you a 1099 with your yearly taxable information. Most, in their condition and terms, that most of us don't read, will state that they will not supply you with information for your taxes; you are held totally responsible for keeping a records and reporting any increase in assets.

I don't think it is required in my country to fill out this type of forms. If I had to, then I would definitely quit doing online money, because it is not a lot and if the state would take away a percentage from it, it would be completely useless. So it depends a lot on where do you live, in which country.

Essentially, you are self-employed. You need to speak to the accountant who does your tax forms and, perhaps, research self-employed earnings in your country. Most sites do NOT send you tax details, though each US company should ask you to fill in a form (I forget the number of it - is it a 1099?) if you earn more than, I believe, $600 a year from that company.
