Computer running slow!

I am not sure if it is because I signed up for sidetick or if my slowness and the signup are a chance meeting but every sense computer internet has been going slow. My antivirus/spyware finds nothing, I have cleaned and then scrubbed lol all cookies and cleaned histories but still very slow has anyone else had this issue? anyone have a solution? If so I would be soo greatful!

hi, I'm not an expert but this is what I usually do when I observe my pc slowing down.
I check my internet connection speed thru a free check speed site like speedtest.net.It might be your connection not the pc
I check the memory of the computer, installing some programs eat up a large part of the memory so this also causes a slow down.
If your using and older operating system like XP, try cleaning the disk by doing a disk clean up under accessories. Also under accessories, select deframent, then do a defragmentation of cluttered files on your hard drive.
