Well i have been to movies alone and at times it can be very unusual having no one with you when you are spending time at movie. I usually go with someone most of the time when i want to watch any movie. And for scary movies i would definitely take someone with me for sure! I like to watch movies a lot. I usually download them from the net and watch them alone in my house at times. But i always want someone with me to help me watch movies. Cheers!

Yeah, once. I have always been kind of a loner, but do have some friends to hang out with. On that particular night I could not find anyone to hang out with, and didn't want to be stuck at home another minute! So I went to enjoy the second Lord Of The Rings movie, and felt so sad and depressed the whole time. Now, I do like to actually pay attention and enjoy a move, especially when I'm paying an exhorbant amount of money for it. But not having someone familiar sitting next to you to laugh, or critique to movie after wards takes a lot out of it. I can sit at home and do that. No, I believe that the movie cinema experience is to be enjoyed with friends. But these days, being in a new state and not knowing too many people, I may try it again.

I think there is nothing wrong with going to the movies alone, but for me it is quite a sad thing to do. I have never gone to the movies alone, I'm either with my family or my relatives. But I've mostly watched movies at home all alone..

No, actually I have never done that. But I remember once I went to a basketball match alone. And it was definitely weird for guys to see a female alone at the basketball match but to me that is not experience I would like to repeat. I felt like I have no one to share the joy or just the thoughts. I felt alone and couldn't wait for that match to finally finish and go home.

I don't go out to the movies that much. But, when I do go, I've gone alone to a number of them. It's no big deal to me. Plus, if I find a movie disturbing or thought provoking or even just so good, that I want to just spend a little time thinking about it after it's over, I can do that better by myself. I don't have to make small talk or answer questions or anything with anyone else.

I first tried it after I REALLY wanted to see a movie in the theatre, but couldn't get my friends to go with me, after trying over and over to get them to go along... so, I went by myself... and it felt kinda weird the first time... like you were saying... nowadays, I've done it quite a few times... and in some cases, I'm glad I went on my own... either it was one my friends wouldn't like, or I just couldn't get them going to it, or all sorts of things... And, people are saying how it feels weird not having someone else there with you... but besides the part before the movie starts, when do you hang out with your friends when you're at the theatre? You don't talk to eachother... they're just there... so, why is it a bad thing to be on your own?

I have gone to the movies solo before. I see nothing wrong with it. You definitely pay more attention to the movie screen when you are not distracted by someone else's company. then there are times you want that distraction.

No, I have to say I would feel and act the same way that you did! Luckily, since I am married, I always have someone to drag to the movies with me, although since we also have kids, it's usually a PG or lower one. I do have a few girlfriends I can go with to a "chick flick" once in a while. If I really want to see a movie that no one else wants to see, I wait till it comes out on demand or on dvd.

hello, I also experience that matter once, I felt really sad and bored. LOL yes, I am really pretending that I enjoy the film even I don't because I got really bored. haha funny to say that even though I am alone it is a funny experience that I can remember every time I go to movie with friends or boyfriend.

Yes, I watched movies alone many times. When I'm angry, depressed and sad, I watch comedy movies and if I'm bored, I watch action movies...it always change my mood, no matter how angry I am. That's why I always love movies. But when I'm in love, I never want to go to movies alone :)

Usually, I never hang out alone..but yup, I have been to a movie alone but only once because for some reason all my friends were engaged in some work and i wanted to see the movie badly. and it wasnt a great experience despite the movie being a blockbuster. Plus There was no fun finishing up the jumbo coke and extra-large popcorn all by myself.and i did not enjoy laughing together with the strangers. :D

I have never gone to the movies alone. I have been left momentarily alone in a theater but that's it. I don't think I would like going to the movies alone, I find them to be more fun when enjoyed with a few friends.

I do this when I am traveling alone. If there is nothing else to do at night, I consider watching movies especially when I am out of the country. I try to compare movie houses from different places to our own. hahaha...

Most of the time, I'd go to the movies by myself considering I don't like being disrupted while watching a good movie, even by my own friends. I'm comfortable with watching a movie with one or two friends. More than that, I'll probably find an excuse to disappear into the bathroom till they're done watching. Well, that's me. :)
