I think Viru and Gambhir will surely recover from injury.
I think sachin and Praveen will recover near to WC.
If not it will be just opening stages.
And India can easily replace with any other if Injury is serious.

well ramaswamyvtkv, Sachin is having hamstring strain and he is not injured. On precautionary measure, he was given rest because he had played Test series and playing ODI series he might catch up with some injury. So, Sachin might be playing his last World Cup 2011, so, why to take risk if he gets injured then his dream of winning World Cup for India will become a shadow for him and for the country.

Well friend only time will tell, selectors would have selected them by consulting the physiologist of the team and only after getting their fitness selection might have done. Whatever, the present South Africa series does not give any advantage to Indian team because India will be playing at home the World Cup. The ODI series must have happened in Sri Lanka or Bangladesh or in India, so that selectors would have got better idea of picking the team for the World Cup, now selectors have picked some players by seeing the past performances of that particular player instead of consideration of their current form with bat or ball. I feel Chawla's selection is most disappointing of all..

Hi Venkit,
These four players are not seriously injured. They have some light injuries which would be alright. They will be available before the WORLD CUP.They are some of the players whose performance is much needed for the victory of the Indian team. They are not a serious concern for the Indian team.Sachin Tendulkar is making his fifth appearance in the WORLD CUP.The master blaster has been making milestones as he is inching towards his retirement.
Have a happy day.

It is still more than a month to go for the world cup to start. I think it is good enough time for the players to recoup from the injury. Apart from that the world cup is going to run over one month. All injured players are too good to be left out for the world cup.
