Being frowned upon

Hey has anyone of you guys felt like being stared upon by people around you when you are sitting with your girl friend/boy friend in a public place say a bus bay, park or any public place for that matter? And has any one of these strangers confronted you with unwanted questions like, "where are you from?", "who was that girl/boy with you"? etc etc. How would you respond if you're in such a situation? Is it worth loosing your temper?

I used to get grilled like that a lot, back when I would go out into the public willingly. About anything and everything from who was that with me, to why am I wearing this, even to "Why did you dye your hair that color?" Worth losing my temper over? Nah. Annoying? Definitely. Common courtesy and manners are something that just isn't instilled in a lot of people anymore in the way that it used to be.

Well said zoey. And it's all about personal space and we should learn to respect that. SOmetimes people tend to take such opportunities to play the so-called moral police. Especially in a country like India even couples holding hands are being frowned upon. But of late things are changing and guys are becoming more receptive to cultural changes, which is a good sign.

I agree with you. I mean it's reasonable to loose your temper if someone confronts you and it gets physical.
