I work evenings, so my mornings are mostly spent with my 1 year old daughter, Farrah, while my wife heads to work. I leave for work in the early afternoon and don't return until after 2am. This shift leaves me very little time to maintain the friendships that I have made in the city, but now that I've found mylot.com, I feel I'm making new friends on a day to day basis. What a great community it is here. What do you consider to be the most effective way to make friends, either online or in the "real world"?

Well, we can make friends both online or in real world. And we need both of this two kinds friends. For online friends, we may have no chance to met each other, but we can also share our joy and sadness, ask for advices and suggestion from our friends. For friends in reality, we can turn to help when we get trouble, and having a friend help you makes you got another arm or leg.
Yes, mylot is a great place to make friend online. We can find those who have the same opinion with us, we also can learn from each other.

Yeah, that's very true. In today's world, you do need both kinds of friends. The online friends are much more understanding, though, when it comes to troubling issues. At least in my case they are. lol

Yeah, the same with your opinion.I'm new too in mylot, and i think it's indeed a good place for us to make new friends here. And i think they are kind and the atmosphere is really good for us to communicate. And it's just like a "real world" to me.I like this community and it's just really make me learn a lot.

knowledge is power! I've found that if you don't see what you are looking for in regards to a question, you can usually just ask...within the guidelines, of course. I learned that mistake twice pretty quickly. lol I'll definitely be sticking around here for years to come.

LOL No doubt, but if you're a bad dancer, at least your online friends can't make fun of your style. That is, unless you're dancing with a webcam on, but that probably doesn't give the same good feeling that dancing with a "real" person does. Dance like nobody's watching and sing like nobody's listening.
