Alienware

I was thinking of buying a new gaming computer, and one of the most frequently mentioned brands in my search has been Alienware. Now, I looked through their site, and the Aurora caught my eye, and after I added a few thing to the shopping cart it checked out at $2,000. Before I went and committed to such a large price tag, however, I looked for an Alienware review online and found that many customers were disappointed with the quality of their product. Am I making the right choice? Should I go Alienware? If not, what other brands might I consider?

Alienware is an excellent brand as far as gaming pcs are concerned. But do note that the price they demand is very high. You can assemble a computer with similar specifications as a top end Alienware at about 70% the price of the Alienware. I prefer to asemble my own computers and save some cash. But if you do not have sufficient knowledge or want to avoid the assembling part, get an Alienware.

I couldn't agree more with the point you made their way over-priced. To be honest also though I don't think their as great as the hype claims. I have to agree with androbot, look into the possibility of building your own machine. A: its cheaper most likely B: you decide what you want C: you have total control of what hardware is used D: even pay a technician to build it, they shouldn't charge you that much i usually only charge twenty pounds (UK) to do it and most other technicians don't charge much just for a build (without OS install)

alienware is a good brands fro gaming or high end pc!!Surely if you want buy a desktop they will result too much expensive and so you can even consider to buy the chassi and add the hardware you need by yourself and surely you can save some money in relation to the configured alienware models as aurora or others!! As regardds laptops they are ok and powerful but you should careful when you configure them because they are really expensive so it depends from which purposes you are buying an alienware...

Well, i recently brought a laptop, thats Dell-Inspiron 15R. it has 1Gb graphics. i thought it would not be much friendly gaming purposes, but thats a false thought. the laptop is great and it supports all type of games and graphics and sound is also very good. if you want to buy at lower cost you can go for even Studio laptops also. Alienware is also nice but the price tag is somewat higher.
