What is the benefit of having your own domain?

I'm owner www.advokatku.com. That's my own domain. For me, have own domain is pride at the same time can enhance the professional image in the eyes of society.

By having your own domain you are in control of your site and your business and you will be able to design or make changes to your site so that it stands out in the crowd, makes your site unique and allows you to do the most important task of optimizing your site for the search engines so that your site can appear high up in the search results. You will also be able to project your own personality into the site.

I think anybody can have a domain. However, it is important all the pros and cons of having the domain. It is also important that you understand the risk factors involved in the form of maintainability of your own domain. Usually people will first try the free ones till they are not sure that they can enough of hits and traffic to cover up the cost of maintaining the domain and then only will move from the Basic to pro. I am using couple of free Websites and I think I will take another couple of months to move to next level with own domain name.
