Is it possible to forget thirst, many forget to drink plain water.
This hasnt been the issue with me until recently.I have been sleep deprived from some days from sitting up late and having lack of sleep, and now i have noticed i dont feel thirsty.
I know drinking water regularly helps in amazing ways,it helps you lose weight clears your skin and many other benefits.
But not drinking the required amount of water daily required by the body, does it call for a serious concern to be looked into.

no murtuza52 it is to possible that a man or woman or any other can forgot to drink water but it is possible that every one can forgot to drink water how much needed in life. every one should drink minimum 3 to 4 litter water in a day as per doctors say that water makes the body cells perfect, so keep drinking water and stay healthy.

The problem of forgetting to take water is more because of our life style and also with all those beverages and liquids intake we have during the day,so basically that urge or thirst is very little for water

I heard somewhere (don't recall where) that though you are supposed to drink a certain amount of water a day, you need to drink it in certain amounts for the most effectiveness. The rationalization was that as you drink, your body processes it at a certain rate, and if you drink more than a certain amount at a time, the excess wouldn't go to help your body, it would pretty much go straight to your bladder without being absorbed elsewhere in the body as needed. So, it's always best to spread the drinking out over the day. Of course, I don't know how accurate this is, since it was only something I heard. Hopefully, I'll manage to find out more about it later, to see if it is truly the case.

greetings! i'm not sure if you can actually forget being thirsty, because it's something that you feel. unless you're too busy, as in really busy with something that you overlook your thirst and hunger. this sometimes happens to me that i forget to eat during the day and right before i sleep, that's when it finally hits me.

and that comes up to how many glasses?
I believe that having too little and too much water is also not good for ones health.

Hi, from my past visit to my pulmonologist, she strongly adviced that we take about 2 liters of lukewarm water everyday and stay away from colored drinks such as (soda, artificially flavored juices, etc). 2 liters is much easier to quantify since glasses have different sizes, I get confused as to which glass to use if I follow the 8 glasses per day routine since we have small glasses, large or tall glasses and the I guess normal size glasses. lol. Anyway, I've also read that following the daily water intake doesn't necessarily drinking the recommended amount of water because other food that we eat like fruits, salads, soup, rice, etc. also have water content which contributes to our daily water intake :)

Luke warm or warm water taken everyday early in the morning i think will help shed the extra fat, which is very good for health.
Flavoured and cold drinks also should be avoided which is not good in the long run.
Water i directly drink from the bottle,so always wondering how many glasses i had today. lol

how much water we got drink? well, for my answer is as much as u want.here is a saying,8 cups water should be drunk each day, however,i prefer drink the cups your body needs, maybe 4 cups or 10 cups. accoding the great tranditional chinese medcine theory, deffierent ppl may have various types of physical characters. if you rarely exercise and seldome feel thirsty, that means you got needless water inside your body already, and you gotta let it out first, instead of keep drinking water. anyway, drink as much as you really want.

Drinking too little water may sometimes cause dehydration.
Drinking more water should be of concern?

I drink alot of water. Sometimes when I'm bored I drink more than I am suppose to. For example I put water in a milk galloon and that shows me how much I drink. I drink over a galloon. It does help me lose weight. I eat alot and not drink water I get really fat. When I eat a lot and drink water at the same time my weight doesnt change. If it were a normal day then my weight would decrease when I drink a lot of water.

I think after having your meals,if you dont drink water for atleat 45 minutes, its very helpful in not overbulging your stomach.
Drinking water when you are not thirsty for reducing weight or for your health, what time would you consider best?

My answer is as much as you can!!
I'm pregnant and in the hospital they tell me to drink a gallon of liquids each day.
1/4 of milk.
1/2 of pure water.
1/4 of either pure water or something like a lemonade made with fresh lemons (citrus) and splenda!
I struggle, specially with the milk, but my baby needs lots of calcium!
Greetings.

Milk is good for you and your baby during pregnancy which also has calcium.
I think you should avoid drinking lot of water during pregnancy, which might cause uneasiness, though not sure.
Goodluck and congrajulations in advance for your newborn.

hi there murtuza! personally, i don't drink water that much. i'm not also into sodas, but medically speaking, we must take 8 glasses of water a day. due to work related problems, there are times that i forget to drink, in which case, i feel incomplete and exhausted. we really need water in our body, so i strongly suggest that you too should drink the required amount of water at least 8 glasses a day.

sometimes you should drink water even if you don't feel thirsty because you may be dehydrated even if you don't show symptoms of any dehydration! as a general rule when I work as a counselor at many camps for kids I try to tell the kids that for every one glass of juice or milk that they drink/want, they also have to drink a cup of water to counteract it! one fact that I myself used to believe as a little kid was the rule of threes!
You can't survive:
3 minutes without air
3 days without water
3 weeks without food!

It has always felt somewhat contradictory to me, that you can be dehydrated but not feel thirsty, but it does seem to often be the case. In terms of dehydration, of course it's good to drink water, but oftentimes, water alone isn't enough. Make sure to get in something with electrolytes, whether it is gatorade/powerade or some drink additive to mix in with your water. That's what my doctor recommended to me, at any rate, for whenever I'm sick.
The rest of the time, the only restrictions I use about how much water I drink are "Do I feel like I'm sloshing when I walk?" as well as "If I drink this, will I be running to the bathroom every five minutes for the rest of the day?"
Best bet, though, is to talk with a health professional, who can give you a better idea of how much water you should be drinking daily, and whether anything else is needed for your best health.

Generally, an adult should consume a minimum of about 6 glasses of water. However, it is always better to drink a little more. 8 glasses would do. Drinking 3 liters of water each day is great to be be rejuvenated, beautiful and to lose weight. Water is amazing! Drink often, not only during times when you feel thirsty. :D
