petermann glacier, are you melting real soon?

hi there mylotters! i just got so interested about the news last august 2010. quite old news though but it's kinda alarming. it's about the ice chunk that broke in the petermann glacier that is four times the size of new york manhattan. petermann creates a connection or link between greenland sheet and the arctic ocean. as we all know, global warming is fast approaching. i have watched random video clips in youtube and found one video that shows the total amount of ice melted each year. and presently, we are struggling for this crisis. though we may be far from this place, we are still affected because if the ice continues to melt hastily as time goes by, there's a possibility that the north pole be submerged. let's just hope and pray that we will be able to overcome this calamity. mylotters, what are your views regarding this matter?
