With the announcement of early registrtation for public school opening for Kindergarden, it seems that the K-12 plan which gives additional year for public school students is pushing through. What's in your mind regarding this issue?

Edna here in the US we have this law for many years. I find it is good as it prepares the children for class room preparations as well as to socialize and interact with other children their own age.
I see you are from Philippines and the same in my opinion should apply, however each country is different so it would depend on the economic structures. But Sending them directly to first grade is a bit too fast in my opinion as they are not use to going to school so K, would be a preparatory stage.

This could be the good start we've been waiting for. Changes may come abruptly but I think we can adjust fairly with the support and cooperation of the people. Our new government needs all the support and we, the people must stand by it if we want change for the better! Thank you, my friend, you're one of those I've missed when I temporarily when off with myLotting. Happy to see you around once again!

Kindergarten is important. This is the very first formal school experience the children will have. Usually people can recall their first memories just about the time they were in that happy learning the basics year. I do hope this K-12 brings more beneficial results for all of us.

Oh, yes hoping for better results and being positive for this endeavor is the best share we can give to this present government. The objectives had been laid down and very promising. Let us all hope this is a good start for making up and changing the system we all been used to.

I'm not at all impressed with this K-12 idea. First of all, it's the quality of the education that should be important here and not the length of time a student stays in school. Add to that, most of our public school facilities are either mangled, substandard or simply outdated.
I say we should fix the system first before stepping into brand new territories. 'tis all.

Well I think its for the better of the education system here in the philippines and setting standard for an international level. I know many would disapprove because it is not economical basing on the status of most of the filipinos. But, I think giving results would definitely give a positive outlook for filipinos.

Quite frankly, this proposition will be a huge failure especially given the economic hardships of most Filipinos. Adding a year will not solve the problem. Respecting teachers and increasing their salaries will be a better option.
