I've been working for almost six years. Four employers including today and a lot of struggles as an employee. Sometimes, we might think that we already did the best in our work but our heads or supervisors still need more of it. We'll get exhausted until we left our family alone with no extra hours left for them. No family, no social life and no love life. Not a very happy life. And we are expecting bonuses at the end of the year and we somehow borrow money using our credit cards or some micro finance. We buy those things that we think we need plus we want. And then. no bonus at all. Not a very good idea. Most of the time we keep on praying that god should give resources to pay our bills but we are not doing anything to keep our credit card handled carefully and we keep on buying things that we can pay for 12 months or even 36 months. We are just keeping our debt control our life. That's the life of an employee.

Cicero once said that every form of salary is a form of slavery, and he was so right.
It's true that we tend to buy more things, because we're busy with work, and we don't have time for everything... I need more, and better, appliances at home, to help me with the chores, I don't have time to shop for the best deals, I need nice clothes to look good at work... bleah
But I always find some consolation in something I've learnt once: that every problem we encounter at work has a solution. Maybe I don't know it, maybe it will make my day very difficult, maybe my boss doesn't know it, but somewhere, somebody knows the solution... and that's important, because problems in life in general are way more complicated and do not always have solutions, no matter how hard we try.

You are definitely right. There are more complicated problems outside our work place and more serious to focus on. We still have to be thankful that we still have a job to pay for our bills and to buy things that we needed and even wanted.
