I was watching The Today Show on TV and one of the guests was dressed in an outfit more fitting for the hottest summer day....thin spaghetti strapped top. Knowing what the weather is in NEW York...freezing... I found this to be really silly. I found I was think OMG she must be freezing as all the other people in the studio were warmly clad. Is this supposed to raise the viewing audience or what?
While I am on the subject I find some of the soaps to be really funny as they are in the middle of a tragic scene and I cannot concentrate as I am more interested in watching to see if their boobs are going to fall out of the low, low cut tops!!
Do you find it as funny as I do.

Same here. I know how it feels to be under those lights and it does get uncomfortable. I tend to get hot and uncomfortable in sweaters so I'm more of a t-shirt wearer regardless of the weather. Plus they probably have a change of clothes they can add layers before going outside.

It's a good thing all the soaps aren't done live the way they used to be or I'll be we WOULD see some "accidents" happen!
As for how some people dress anymore, I guess it's not necessary to dress appropriately for the season these days. Personally, I dress for comfort rather than style and there's no way you'll ever catch me in a thin tank top in the winter time! Give me a nice, thick, soft sweatshirt.

I think that they should dress more weather appropriate too. However, maybe in the studio it is warm enough that they can do that. I watched the show today, but didnt even notice what they were wearing. Isn't it funny how some of us do and some of us don't.

Lakota you are correct about the hot lights. Now I am thinking about all the men who are wearing suits, sweaters etc., must be stinky!! Yuk!

Hi whiteheather! I agree, it's all about ratings. Anything to get those ratings. It makes me wonder if some of these people have any brains or morals because of how they dress. I don't watch soaps anymore and haven't in many many years but I do know what you're talking about with those low cut tops. Yay! They have boobs! Now cover them up for I don't want to see them. lol

TV studios are warm places I guess. All those lights etc. There is a news channel apparently called "Naked News". Of course I haven't seen it he says whistling hopefully! LOL. It must be hot there because the girls end up naked!!! I don't watch soaps but it does seem to be the general fashion these days for ladies, and not just young ones, to wear as little as possible and often in the most unlikely of situations.

Hiya heather,
I find it funny not only how little they dress up for Winter Days but when they are on the Set itself they sit in funny ways also so the top part is very clearly seen but they keep twisting around and fidgeting all the time. Flicking their Hair backwards and forwards too. I find them quite amusing too. I notice that a few of them can hardly move their lips either and also the way they act "the crocodile Tears"act you never see one visible tear.
A few of them of course of genuine but I find the know it all People hard to digest a bit as they talk over everyone else´s conversation at the same time and loudly too. Did they behave like that when they were in School I ask myself.
But seeing as that is none of my business I usually listen to a bit of it and then turn it over most times.
We have the same kind of Shows here with the same kind of things going on too.

It is not that I disapprove it is just that it takes away from what they are trying to get across.

Hiya heather,
I don´t disapprove either but they all talk at the same time sometimes and the worst offenders sometimes are the ones that are supposed to be Professionals also.
So you never really get to know anything about what is going on and with all the Adverts in between I find it tiresome to try and pick up the threads of what they were all going on about.
Switching to another Channel where they have Animal Documentaries on is a more peaceful solution to me.
Usually though I pick up "Without A Trace" and I prefer that and I really am sorry that they stopped making this Series. I just loved watching "Jack Malone". Much less complicated for me at least.

I am a CSI junky. In fact any criminal or "Law & Order" shows are my favorites.
