I've rather enjoyed my alone time with the hubs away so much...........until Christmas. Having him and my kids all home together left me totally bereft when the holidays were over. I do believe I've finally discovered what being 'lonely' really means.
BUT, I do have a companion. Four legged and with WAY too much hair, but at least she doesn't argue or take all the covers during the night, leave the toilet seat up, or drink from the carton, leave dirty clothes or dishes around and she never ever looks at me without adoration in her eyes. More than I can say for most people. lol

I live with my husband and we have a baby and a dog. I never live alone and I highly doubt I would like it, I don't like being alone and I get scared easily, if things happen especially in the dark at night, I would panic.
Currently, we're living in Mass and I hate this state... because of the cold and... I just hate it here

I don't live alone currently, but a couple of years ago, I got to live alone for a couple of months and I totally loved it! I love the idea of having my own place, doing anything that I want to do, and just being me all the time in the comfort of my home. Though it can be quite depressing sometimes, that's why I have some friends come over on weekends, but on weekdays, I love the quite sound around the house.

always people would like to have a companion because they will go mad if no one is there to listen to their happenings in life.

I do not live alone. But I think I wouldn't mind being alone either. I don't necessarily need a companion and I feel that I wouldn't be lonely without a companion. Not for long, but I've stayed alone and I was quite happy. It all depends on the person, I guess.

I lived alone for five years before I got married, and I was perfectly happy that way. When my husband abd I got together, it was because we fell in live, not because we weren't happy being alone. We were happy alone, now we are happy together.

I'm very happy living by myself. I have my two dogs but if they were not here I would still be content to live with no one in the house. I learned at an early age to value my own company and amuse myself and that gives me a lot of options that many others don't have--I can be happy whether I have company or not. I look upon it as a gift.

Hi pikey no I have a roo mie who was so bright and is now slowly disintegrating with alzheimer disease. she has been and out of
the hospital with various ailments. but her loss of memory is whats
so sad as when I first moved in here she was an elderly lady but very
bright and the historical facts she knew were amazing to me.Now she often cannot remember how to get to the dining room or get our mail at the front desk. Sometimes she drives me bananas then I remember she cannot help herself. I would be happy alone but at night when she was in the hospital I felt just a bit nervous. whem Rocky checked in to see if I was okay he often locked my door and that helped. there are some people here whom I would not want wandering in my room in the middle of the night.Which when I think about it is funny as she is a will of whisp lady, barely over 100 pounds and while I am short at five foot two she cannot be more than five feet. So me on a quad cane with a bad left leg and a bad left shoulder an her with her walker would not be a match for some of the odd ones here.By having her back agt night makes me feel better. Sadly I have lost it with her when she nags at me to go to bed at 9 pm, as I have not had that hour as a bedtime since I was a little kid. Ten I will do not 9p.m. When she nags at me I end up yelling no I will not go to bed for an hour yet

Mate, I have never lived alone, but I think I would be perfectly happy to sometimes. Ahhh, the peace I would have!
I lived by myself for a week while on a trip last year and I loved not having to worry about what anyone else was doing. I just did my own thing every day and loved it.
I tried living by myself when I was younger. I had been living with friends for a couple of years and then decided to rent a place by myself, but before I knew it, my girlfriend (now wife) was moving in with me. It was a gradual thing at first and then all of a sudden she had her belongings at my house and that was it!

I live with my wife and 2 children. It is so happy to be small family. Also, I will enjoy very much if I am alone also. I prefer to live alone and even now also, whenever they are are not at home, I enjoy my solitude as much and for me loneliness is my best friend.
I love to be alone and it was my desire to live alone for 2-3 years, but never happened so. Considering the food and other household work, someone alongwith is a great relief and life with sharing is the best option for long period of time.
Thank-s

YES I live alone and LOVE it!. It seems my whole life I have been surrounded with family then my first husband's band thought we were a family and were always around. Now I have the freedom to do exactly what I want. That covers what I eat, when I go to bed, what I wear and best of all when family or friends come to visit they leave when I have had enough of their company. My 3 dogs and I are supremely happy in our living conditions.

The Boss always says that if anything happened to me she'd not bother living with a man again. Too much trouble! LOL. But I'm the sort of man that is happy alone, but likes the reassurance of knowing there's someone about. Not necessarily beside me in bed; but in the house.

I live alone. I love to live alone. My home, my rules.
Sometimes I wish there was someone to help me with something I cannot do, like home maintenance and unpleasant chores or help with the gardening, sometimes I would like my feet rubbed (the rest of me too), sometimes I would like to cook dinner for an appreciative someone, or maybe have someone cook for me, sometimes I would like to go for a drive or shopping with someone fun and enjoyable.
I'm not lonely. I appreciate my own space and realise how lucky I am that there is no relationship conflict in my life...I don't have to put up with someone and they don't have to put up with me.
Sometimes I wish with all my heart that I had been able to find a best friend, a soul mate, someone I could tolerate easily and well and their feelings were mutual but it did not happen and I think now I am beyond that. Now I am truly glad that I have my critters and my little house and I am content.

Just me, Harmony, the voices in my head, and the dust bunnies. And, unfortunately, the squirrels have found their way back into my attic.

Forgot to say, I'd be a whole lot happier if the squirrels vacated the premises. They can take the dust bunnies with them, too. Otherwise, I'm fine with being the only humanoid here.

I don't live alone, but I have. In every case, I've become the neighborhood cat lady, so I guess I do like having someone else with me - I just don't want them to be human! LOL

I live with a roommate.. who happens to be a former boyfriend and father of my 9 year old. It's insane and can get downright ugly at times, but because of the nasty economy and the fact that jobs are so very very difficult to get in the town where we live, this works out for the best.
I didn't mind it so much when he worked full time, but now that he's without work we're always in each others way and irritating each other. I don't mind roommates, I just don't want to have to deal with them 24/7, especially talking my head off or them being loud in general.
I prefer to live with males. I don't get along with a lot of women due to the stereotypical feminism.. I'm not especially feminine myself. But sometimes I do meet a woman I manage to get along with and it's not so bad. The female roommates that I had in school and when I lived in the south were, and still are, completely awesome and I'd do it again in a heartbeat :)
I prefer being alone, but I also have to have mild interaction.. people making background noise... someone to come home and say hi to for three minutes before going to sleep... that sort of thing.

I don't mind companionship, but I'm rather strange about the people I surround myself with. The reality is that I will probably not live on my own for a very very long time because of my health.
