As much as possible I am saving money. I do not want to lose it in the future. I am only buying cheap but healthy foods. I am just spending some of my money if I know I earned much. Being thrifty became my habit. But I am not greedy among my family and friends of course. I still share what I can to them.

Hi dear,
I like your topic and the subject has a lots of relevance in these days. I made a lots of mess up with my money and for me it comes like 50:50 ratio. But experience tells me we should follow a formula with 75:25 ratio, ie saving of 75 and spending of 25. At present it is not possible. But if we tighten the nature, we can bring upto 60:40 range, and if we do not keep a control, it will turn around and may go upto 25:75, ie, saving of 25 and spending of 75.
To resolve this issue and minimise with the expenses, we should carry out expert plans and cost efficient methods to be adopted. Basically, people would laugh at this comment. Because it is quite impossible in these days because most of the things become highly expensive. But as being a responsible person, we should think and make proper plans which are extremely important, less important, urgent, less urgent, moderately needed and which all can be ignored.
Start with the last one, which is to be ignored. Cut out all those extravagance and unwanted expenses initially, prepare the list, which is only required. We need cash balance. Once more and more money is saved, it will help in various ways when we grow up.
I am an unfortunate man and my experience compelled to say all. A decision is upto every one, but people would think later on, there is some point in what I said.
Thank-s

I am more of a saver than spender. I value money so much because I was brought up not a brat. At a very young age, whenever I want something, I don't ask for money to buy that thing. I save my allowance and when I reached my goal, then I will buy that thing. Since I lived independently, I was able to buy my appliances from my own pocket.

I like saving. I am a Capricorn. So you know it is in my nature to love money. Sometimes I feel like Mr. Krabs from Spongebob and sometimes like Scrooge McDuck. I don't know why, but I enjoy looking at the number expanding in my bank and paypal accounts. It gives me unusual pleasure. But the thing is that I need to spend it, but I wish there was no such term ever invented.
Wish we were living in cartoon world. Then I would have taken a dive into the pond of gold coins just like Scrooge McDuck.

I like to spend money, but I like to save up for what I'm going to buy so I know I have the money for it.

Hey Carla, when you post questions like these, it might be taken as a poll. Read the guidlines on the Don'ts: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx. I cannot tell if they will delete it, but just don't be if they do. OK?
Ask questions that encourages discussion, and it would be good to let others know your view as well. I don't think I will answer to your question.
Happy myLotting, and welcome to the community.

Well that depends on situations and circumstances and also how much you are financially developed and enriched. But over I myself is a combination of both a spender and a saver. I always keep a balance between my need and my savings.
