The Expendables, Over or Under-rated?

It was a very entertaining movie. Something to watch with friends on a friday night

It's not over rated or under rated. But it was over hype on being the best action movie since the big old action stars are in it together. I thought the movie was ok for a one time see. It did have a lot of action, but the plot was very terrible.

It was excactly what an action movie was supposed to be. Nothing less, and maybe even more.

I thought the Expendables was a great movie! I would never consider it to be overrated. It delivered just what the movie promised. i wouldn;t change a thing about it.

Over-rated no I wouldn't say so. Over-hyped? Definitely without a doubt in my mind. I think they wasted some talent in it such as Jet Li for example. You barely seen him at all. Not saying the movie should of focused on him but at the same time they tried to blend the older 80s action stars with the new up and comers. Jason Statham (who I am also a fan of) got huge scenes in it where as Jet (who yes I am a fan of) got barely any. He got what, 1/2 fight scenes unless I missed alot. With that said though, the movie did in ways deliver what Sly said it would. To him it was a movie to show the older action stars, the A-listers of the 80s and 90s could still deliver a decent movie. I am curious as to how the 2nd movie will go which Sly was hoping to have the screenplay delivered for January. If it was delivered in that time they were hoping to start shooting summer 2011 I believe.

I dont think it was really over-rated or under-rated. I had some friends who thought it was one of the worst movies of the year, but I actually enjoyed it. It has a mix of awesome action and comedy. Given the options i would say that it is under-rated.
