I was mistaken in one of my previous posts. The $120 textbook was actually a WORKBOOK which could only be used once. Turns out this thing was a plain white binder you could have bought at Walmart & a bunch of copied pages....for $120.
Fortunantly it turns out that that wasn't what she needed so we returned it. We then had to get the proper materials. We paid $80 for this thin cardboard envelope with nice printing & pictures on it. Inside was the name of the site, instructions on how to log in & the code to use. That's it...No disk...No pages...
Still it was cheaper than the WORKBOOK but...

Ridiculous, isn't it? What a ripoff that was. Education should not be so expensive but charging $80 for what is essentially an address and a code is highway robbery.
I had to buy a workbook, too. I had to buy it new and it was a real workbook I had to fill in, etc. Luckily I had a very understanding teacher and she let me use the workbook but write all answers on paper. At the end of the class I was able to sell it and break even.
