Selling Cars can lead to Murder

I do believe these are dangerous times.
No one is safe from the criminal elements of our world. It's already proven that the more progress there is, the more evil creeps in.
Car traders in the Philippines are faced with the risk of getting killed by fraudulent customers. I wouldn't write about this if they just robbed their victims at gunpoint but the fact of the matter is that traders are getting killed and then burned to dispose of the evidence.
2 Car traders in the philippines have met this fate just this month. I pity their families.
Such cruelty.
I wonder if there is really a place in hell for these car jackers who prey on those who are just trying to make an honest living. Why would they go to the extent of killing and burning bodies? Maybe I can understand the motive for killing, but burning the bodies? Why? It is sheer lunacy! Such bestial cruelty!
A word of advice to Car Traders. Never ever be too trusting of your customers. Always have someone with you when selling a car. Never test drive at night. Always conduct test drives in a more exposed place (after all, your customer is not just gonna drive his/ her new car in a park or on smooth roads alone).
Always document who you talked with, their contact numbers (they are gonna call you and most of us have caller id on their cellphones right?) and leave a copy at home.
Always trade at home and install a CCTV (camera) and have it pointed at the place where you are going to deal.
If you ever get killed, at least it'll make it easier to catch the perpetrators.
As much as possible, do not do meet ups alone!

Okay, this is a no brainer. This should be common knowledge to anyone. If someone stole my car, they would be lucky if I didn't kill them myself because that is my car. If anyone steals a car, they are stupid. They are asking for trouble. It's not a video game, it's not Grand Theft Auto, it's real life, and you can get arrested or die if you steal a car from someone. The U.S. is pretty firm on this one.

well i hope that amount of firmness arrives here on our philippine shores
we should not let these criminals go
nor should our authorities be so easily blinded by bribes
sigh... i live in a sad country with a twisted justice system

totally agreed. when committing any crime and especially theft, you think they 'd realize that they are going to get caught so why is it even worth it to steal something that another person worked hard to get and works hard to pay for . I feel get offf your hind end and do the same like the person who u wanna steal it from does. and they need to get a real life also. !

I really hate people who hurt or even take other innocent people's lives just for the sake of money. Why don't they do something much more fruitfull and law abiding instead? They should go find decent jobs rather than commmitting crimes. They should also stop being greedy with money and power. I hope the government would find ways to stop this and I do hope justice prevails for the innocent lives that have perished.

Amen to that ! this is the end times i believe it and there is so much violence in this world it makes you afraid to do almost anything. I dont understand how anyone can live with themselves when they either hurt or injur or take an innocent persons life. There is some heartless and rotten individuals out there. and i feel that is BEYOND mental health counseling. thats just plain cold and evil !

or we could all enroll in karate self defense classes
seriously though
the development of a human being starts from childhood, when we are educated by our parents about the good and bad things in society.
i've seen a trend in spoiled, rich kids going to jail here in the philippines for doing heinous crimes.
i hope parents sit up and listen and start disciplining their kids now unless they want to pay bail in the future or see their kids languish in jail

I even heard the father of one of the victim saying that it is the sad truth here in our country. While some people earn money honestly, bad guys are always around to steal it and would even cost their lives.

Yes, with the tragic news lately about those car sellers killed brutally, it looks like car seller/traders should take the necessary precaution. Also carnapping is also getting rampant. How sad to note that these criminals are getting bolder. More than this though, I believe this is a big slap on the face of the Police. What are they doing? They have to move! Now!!!

The only ones that I think are insulated from these dangers are those mega-rich who created business systems to work on their behalf, their staffs and employees to do business for them so they can hide behind the scene, so they won't expose themselves personally to other people in deals. Just like the Zobels of Ayala, the Tan's of Lucion Tan's Group, the Sy's of SM Group, the Gokongwei of JG Summit Group, the Lopezes and a few others. There are few times when they expose themselves to the general public, but they're accompanied with platoons of security guards and police battalions. You want to be safe in this country? Be among the top richest men in the Philippines and you'll be safe!

or we could come down with a stricter justice system
one that does not allow criminals to run free in our country
after all, not everyone can be as rich as the elite
maybe they could start employing their own security group as additional help to our local law enforcers... hmmm... not a bad idea... too far fetched though hahaha
