Facebook has been affecting many people's lives each day. Imagine billions of people all over the globe meeting in one place, sharing one passion and that is Facebooking! Although FB is one way of meeting new people and sharing thoughts there are few things that we shouldn't post on our profile. After reading some articles here are the few reminders on what not to share. 1. Address & Phone number 2. Birth year 3. Personal photographs And in my personal opinion, placing what is your connection with other people place you at risk. Example: Connection with your mother, father, or brother. Yeah I know we all our freedom to do whatever we want but it is better to be a little careful on what we are sharing on internet. :)

Sharing personal details on social networking sites can be life threatening. Though you have many levels of security options in account settings, its highly risky to share them. Sites like FB have many servers to enhance performance speed and accessibility. So, it stores our details in many databases, it remains there even after we delete them. Hackers are good enough to track our details(especially photos) and do ill of them, this is really dangerous. Be safe, watch out!

I remember when I deactivated and re-activated my account, I didn't bother deleting all my photos there before deactivating it when I reactivate it everything were there like nothing ever changed.

That makes much sense. Little bit of awareness can actually make us safer. Even though we can customize the privacy settings in FB, there still remains a chance of being look into you. So better safe than sorry.

Plus, I would not give my full name. I only give my given name: Jenny. I did not know how dangerous it was giving people online (strangers) our data. Reading news on how people can track another people online, I started to give as little information as possible online.

I quite agree with you that facebook a social networking site is exposing its member to much security risk. Due to the information that member post on its sites without much protection from facebook owners. However Facebook is claiming it has improved on its security settings to assist its member to keep their information a little private. However, this measure is consider to be inadequate considering the level of internet related crimes. I think the best way for facebook user is to avoid putting photos, videos, and other personal data that will expose them to great security risk. However, I still think there is where in the world that human will not encounter one form of risk. Life is all about risk. We all face different type of risk in our daily lives. It is only by being conscious of our activities we can avoid danger. Let us continue to use facebook but still keep one our eyes open.

I totally agree with you on this. As I have said, I've deactivated my account and when I reactivated it everything was there. I was under the impression that if you deactivate your account it will delete all your files. Also the games that we play like Zynga who admitted that they're sharing our info to 3rd party peeps.

Yes, I also think that people should be more careful in the things that they put in any social networking sites. I agree with all the things you have posted, the things that we should avoid putting in our account. We should also not post vulgar words and personal problems...

My dear friend i do agree with you. But sometime what happened, because of this confidential information only we can confirm that yes this is one of my friend. So this kind of information can be given or not. It depends on the view of the persons. So i think making friends giving information sometimes help in getting marital information. Thanks
