Why I ask this question? We are here sharing our ideas in terms of discussion starter or discussion responders. We sharing our experiences, sometimes problems, sometimes asking advices, suggestions and others. For these reasons are you aware and honest that all you have posted and responded are true or FOR THE SAKE OF DISCUSSION ONLY. Be honest is the one good policy right? Do you observed here that some are only for the sake of discussion without reality. Correct me if I'm wrong to my observation and share to us your views.. see you around

When I respond or comment I write my true experiences, feelings and thoughts about the topic concerned. I am me all the way though all of my posts
I too see many Lotters who say things just for the sake of posting Some even say one thing one day and the opposite thing another day just to avoid any discussion and to agree with whoever posted the topic. I don't understand that at all and I feel that it does not make for an interesting experience here. Why not be yourself and share your real opinions because we are all entitled to them surely?

thank you for sharing your thought. I believe you are agree with me that we are here helping to each other to make good and smooth all the discussions no tlike throwing something in the bin and collect the cost of it. We should think and aware if those information we given are helful or just a joke. I think yesterday one mylotter posted about against "one word" title discussion. Are you against or favour on that one word title discussion. see you around

If we are to get the best results here then it shuld be teamwork. You start a topic, others respond, then you comment back giving us another chance to respond to you.
If we post just for the sake of posting then we will not be having as much fun as we could be having and the results, over time, will not be the same.
I saw the discussion that you mentioned and commented too.

Yes, you are right, but most of the people use this site as a money making because nowadays, people have no time to discuss and pass their time on any of the site without any purpose, so if they want to make money, they have to start any discussion but it is also very necessary what you say, honesty is most important, if people start discussion they should have enough knowledge about the topic, and if a responder respond any discussion should give correct advise and ideas, because many mylotters even respond to those discussion in which they have no knowledge or any idea and they only wrote, i have no idea or somtehing like that in response, so it is not good be honest.

another thing in my observation why I asked that some say i will not stay longer here in mylot blah, blah, blah, then commonly other mylotters put an effort to give a good advice and encouragement, but end of the day still here and just like a joking and thanking, you know something they are only using, some are just make drama... see you around

I respond only to discussions that interest me -- A few number every day : between 10 and 15 responses for my best days here -- and I read all the comments before giving my response.
I start very few discussions and I don't make them to get a ton of responses. Half are opened in small interests with less than 200 followers. I like these small interests : followers are truly interested and are responding honestly. You can have more fun too, even if you get only 2 or 3 responses. I am pleased to have a popular discussion times to times, but I don't search it.

Hello visavis,
In my stay in here i only have few topics and responses for the reason of honesty and truthfulness as well as time factor. I am picky of topics which i know deep in my heart i can relate to the thread. I always respond according to my own experiences and views in life and i remember one mylotter told me that he got to know me more everyday upon reading some of my responses. Well, our responses is a reflection of ourselves not unless if we are putting a mask every time we reply such topic just for the sake of responding.
Honesty is such a lonely word now a days for everyone seems untrue. Its a song and this is true to some. Our friends here can and might follow our responses they could identify whether we say the truth or not.
Happy myLotting!

I respond to discussions as truthfully as I can. However opinions may change over time. I am rarely picky about discussions. I have a wide range of interest, so I try to respond to every single discussions. However there are some discussions that deal with very special issues like sports, politics and culture that I have very little knowledge of. I wish I could participate in those discussions too. But through those discussions I come to know about different cultures, religions and countries, which is a great thing in itself.

Hi visavis,
Of course you can ask any question you want. :O)
Sorry to ask this. Is that a problem if they share things here (in the duscussion) can be a general point of view/ either they agree or disagree?
I feel, we, who read other people's post should not judge others posted discussion.
Everyone is free to speak out for themselves regardless true or not.
Let it be free flow speech. :)

Hello friend I just curious about your response. Ok I admit we have freedom to speak but for me having freedom to speak has limitation or depends on various situation. Here is mylot most of mylotters asking serious suggestions, advice whom as a guide but through my freedom and for the sake of discussion I intentionally gave my response as joke or none sense response. Like, let say your children asking something from you but what you done is giving or advicing unrelated to your children request - Is it correct or not? see you around

I responded here true and as i said to my husband that all here are my true feelings and this site is my best friend that i can say all the feelings i had. From the bottom of my heart if i feel sad or upset i go here and tell what I feel. This is a big help for me to release my feelings and let the feelings flow. I tell the truth and i don't lied when it comes to my feelings if i feel i was down. Because here are lot of friends that will help us. They suggest what is best according also to their experienced. We can learn many things from them also.

Sincerity is the most desired thing for a writer. No matter whether you are writing an article, or a letter or participating in some discussions in myLot, sincerity and honesty is highly rewarded. There are three main ways to write on a particular subject matter - writing from your experience, writing from your imagination and writing in a form of conversation. Among these the first one is the most effective, since it involves sincerity and truthfulness. However you can omit some details that are irrelevant to the topic. But I wouldn't consider that as insincerity. It's just a way to induce more flow into the composition. In myLot we write from our experience and often in a form of conversations. This particular combination makes myLot a really interesting place. I always try to be truthful and honest in my responses. I also narrate anecdotes whenever I can. This gives my responses a down-to-earth look.

You have posed a relevant question. As you say discussions are started for various reasons and on various subjects. As I see your doubt is whether discussions or responses are from heart or from mind only. You mean to say that discuusions are for discussions sake and responses for the sake of response only and nothing more. In my observation I find that discussions are started for the sake of discussion and responses are posted for the sake of response only and nothing more..

I just try to be me. There is no sense pretending someone you are not. What I share is base on my experiences and what I have learned through the years.

You are right!
I really suspect that we can really get money via the discussion.
I come here just for fun and communications with friens all over the world.
If you care privacy very much, just keep your personal information private. I think this is OK and there is no need to lie.
Just be honest, open you heart!

hello friend,
That's true,how true your discussion/topic and responses is/are?
If someone is referring from her own life and experiences, you can figure it on how he/she commented back on his/her own topic.
If someone is lying,then...it's their choice.
I always start a topic from my own experiences/life and what happened in my surroundings.
It is easier to comment back and easier to relay what i really want to express since i am the first person concern in my discussion.
As well as with my responses to other topics/discussion that i made responses with.
I don't respond to topics that i can't relate with.
I can say that, all my topics and responses is 100.01%.
Even in real life,i am who i am,what you see is what you get.
I was never been a mystery to people who knows me.
I don't need to hide who i am because i don't have anything to hide either.
I don't care what people say,as i do what i want to do and i say what i want to say.(as long i am not stepping other people and i am not hurting them)
Finally,i don't owe anybody an explanation...anybody can judge me,but GOD knows the real me.
have a good day always

When I first joined myLot, I add alot of interest, but over the last 2 weeks or so, I realize I keep going back to less than 4 or 5 interest groups. I will try to the best of my knowledge post for discussion sake, not for money. Lol, if it is money I want, working at McDonald's might earn faster bucks. I enjoy the friendliness of the community here.
visavis, we cannot control how people contribute; whether for money or out of sincere desire to share. So the advice I would give is those seeking advice to read carefully the response and you still will need to choose which you think is worth considering (and not just following blindly). The ultimate choice lies with the person needing the advice, not the ones giving.
Does it sound fair? Or errr...am i now looking at the earnings to suddenly shoot up? Hehe.

Well sorry but i dont think anyone on Mylot would give false knowledge just for the sake of earning. Just take your case. Did you make those 1220 posts just for the sake of earning? You must have replied only when you knew a bit about the matter that was posted. And we are here for discussing things, opinions may differ, the thing that sounds convincing me may not appear the same to you. Mylot asks people to present their ideas, if it had to test the originality of the content it would have used filters to only allow people comment in the section they have expertized themself. I hope you are getting my point. Do comment for more explainations.
Happy Mylotting buddy!
