hi mylotter's, here's a question about my #1 pet peeve. Does it upset anyone to see people using there cell phone while driving? It drives me nuts! when i see somebody using there cell, especially texting, there weaving all over the road, driving to slow/fast and generally putting anybody around them in danger. I have bluetooth so if i do recieve a call when i'm driving, at least my hands are free and i certainly do not text while driving. Most of the time i dont even take calls while driving. I think every state should have some kind of law against cell phone use while driving. What do you think?

Oooh Im sorry, but Im guilty as charged! I am a frantic cellphone user while driving. I know, it's crazy. My bad. Thank you for some light, though. You're message here has gotten into me. I promise to change. I'll buy that bluetooth thing... Thank you thank you. And sorry too. In behalf of all drivers who text and drive. You're right, there should be a law all over the world against cell phone use while driving. It will make a very big difference. Thank you again for this reminder.

Mobile Phone - Cellpone Do's and Dont's
I think mobile phones should be strictly prohibited when driving. There is a law but who follows? It is upsetting to see violators of this law because they are putting not only themselves in danger but even others. There have been accidents caused by using cellphones while driving and not just few but a lot but still hard-headed drivers keep using their cellphones. If talking to the driver is a rule then even talking to the driver over the cellphone is just the same.

here where i live it is illegal to operate a cell phone while driving. the penalty if caught is a fine of $110 and so i dont really think it is worth it. also, as you pointed out, its quite dangerous. (hands free such as yourself is ok though).

I don't really like when people do this. I don't think it's as bad when they're using a hands-free set to use their cellphone. The good thing about this is that they get to talk on the phone while having both hands on the steering wheel. It can still be dangerous, but it's better than only having one hand on the steering wheel. I don't understand how some people can simply drive, while texting or talking on the phone, and holding the phone in one hand.

In some places, they already passed a law that using your phone while driving would be given penalties. Aside from drunk driving, texting or answering calls while driving are top causes of accidents on the road. Why risk your life and those around you for something that you can do later? That is just being irresponsible.
