Can we pause for a while when we get tired in a relationship?

How does one keep the love alive? this has been one question that I always ask myself, I know that it takes hard work for a relationship to work but what if you get tired, can you just tell your partner that i am tired can we have a break? and then just resume when got rested? I think that this might work if your partner and you understand what is happening in the situation its not that you don't love your partner anymore but you just needed a break from building the relationship because once you get tired and you want a complete rest from the relationship then that's a hard one and I think one gets tired too if you only work for the relationship and your partner is not helping you.so I ask you my fellow mylotters, can you pause for a while when we get tired?

i once made a pause in my past relationship and never had the chance to resume it. maybe i was just thinking of myself at that time and never took her side.

hello celeste,
In every relationship there is always ups and downs.
It can not be avoided,and yes,why not give some space.
Sometimes it helps to make a relationship stronger and not to break or end it up.
Giving enough space to breath and think for a while.
It will make each other missed and feel the importance if they lost each other.
