does adsense work with blogspot?

hey guys.. i recently discovered this google adsense.. i tried to sign up and it asked for my website. so i entered my blog url. after one day, i got a mail that my adsense account can not be activated because of some fault. the reason given was "page type".. when i searched on internet, i found that many people have adsense using their blogspot url.. why didn't my application get approved?? pls help.. thanks...
