Havaianas and other brazil flipflops are such a fad ..everyone wears them even if it costs much.I have a few pairs of havaianas and ipanemas myself.I like them so much.Others would always question why I prefer to buy some flipflops that cost much?they're just like any other slippers you wear..hmmmm..I usually say because its comfortable and fashionable.People think of it as status symbol..just like when you have ipod and iphones..Can you really tell the difference between an ordinary flipflop from a havaianas????if so,what is it??
have a nice day everyone..!

hi asliah..actually I only have 4..i don't know..from experience my havaianas is 3years and it still looks new I even use it as home slippers..I would disagree to the quality thing being the same though..I think that havaianas is pretty much with better quality than the cheap ones.. ;)

well aside from its comfy, its the brand itself. before if you are wearing havaianas then your in.
honestly i only have one pair of havaianas and dont bother to buy another pair LOL. id rather buy a branded shoe at the same price. and i can use it at work unlike flipflops.

I would have to agree that Havaianas are better than ordinary flip flops..The quality is much better and the designs are so fashionable. You can also use havs for a long period of time.

Welcome to mylot
What i see in the picture here is known as 'hawai-chappal' here in india, they come in different price ranges, from very cheap chinese made to very costly by reputed brands; they are very popular here as inner wear for use in home only, though some use it in outdoors..
i have few pairs of it, made by reputed company, they are light weight, i use in toilet and also in garden..
Thanks for sharing
Best of luck.

hello,
As a practical person like me. LOL I wont buy any pair of that slippers because it is too expensive even though for you it is fashionable and comfortable. Their are slippers who is comfortable when you wear but not too much expensive. right? so I much prefer cheap one because the money that I probably buy for havaianas I will keep it for emergency e.i if I want to buy something much important than that.
happy lotting!

actually, havaianas are good for those people who have good career,
but for us students, that is suuuuuuch a waste of money.
sorry, i just sometimes hate it when some people spend too much
something they don't really need. besides, i don't like wearing flip flops.
i only wear them whenever i'm at a beach or in a pool.
but every time i go out, i prefer using decent shoes.

I actually don't have any Havaianas. What I have are several Ipanemas. I love them because they are really comfortable. I can walk all day in them and my feet won't get sore from bearing my weight the whole time. And they don't flatten out at the places where your feet bears the most weight. I have been using my Ipanemas for 3 years and they are still as thick as when I first bought them. The problem is that these flip-flops are really not that expensive in other countries.

I do actually think they are better than regular flip flops, for one simple reason: they last much longer! I used to buy brandless pairs before, but they would just last me a couple of months, before they broke etc, so I decided to try a pair of Havaianas. And I am so glad I did! My Havaianas do not wear out at all, even after several years, so I think it is really an investment to buy them instead of brandless pairs.
