I think there are many things that can only be found here in the Philippines.. Just like in every nation, since there are different cultures. One thing is the tarsier- . And our tricycles here are unique too. Here's the only place you can find children kissing the hands of parents- "mano po." And gays are widely accepted.

I agree with you. Gays are widely accepted here in the Philippines, even the cross dresser gays.
It's just funny that I have Korean exchange student friends and they are all shocked that they find many gays here in the Philippines, because in Korea, there are only few gays

Hi, the jeepney is uniquely Filipino, isn't it? I haven't seen a similar kind in the countries I have been to. Its colorful designs reflect something about our culture - that we love to celebrate and we always look for reasons to celebrate. Aside from that, we Filipinos are generally hospitable. I could really tell when I am abroad. Our service to customers is really the best. We go out of our way just to please or entertain our tourists.

Well, I can't say that the jeepney is uniquely Filipino. It was actually based from the US Military type of jeep. (The one's they used during the wars) but it was the Filipino's creativity that made the jeepney look the way it looks like now. So, I think that part is uniquely Filipino

You're right though those were smaller ones, and they were either in camouflage or in brown color. I grew up with that military jeep back in Mindanao during the PC/INP days. My dad was a PC officer. Anyways, what was I thinking? Yes, that the ones we have now that are colorful (and sometimes noisy)are not seen in other countries. Well, at least for me,I haven't seen one in the 8 countries I've been to. So, relatively speaking, that to me, is still uniquely Filipino in the present context.

Only in the Philippines do you find people eating unfertilized duck egg or what we call balut. balut is actually used for dares to foreigners in shows like fear factor. Also, when foreigners visit the country, I think they look up to eating balut because they find it weird.

Balot is not really unique because the Vietnamese, Chinese,Palauans, Laotians,Cambodians, and a certain latin American country actually eats balut

i have some things wanted to share but most of them are negative and that would give negative feedback for us,because people here are very knowledgeable when it comes to robbery and crime, but there are things that we can also as our pride or usually know and only found here.

We are the only country in the world that doesn't have Lamb,Turkey, goat and rabbit in our mainstream cuisine.(we only uses Pork, chicken and beef...how boring) We are the only country on earth that uses avocado exclusively for desert purposes. We are the only country where hotdogs are red. We are the only country on earth that forces an actor and and actress to be paired in every movie they starred in AKA love teams. We are the only country were Mcdonalds and KFC serves rice. I will tell more if you are interested.
