Do you think our society should change?

I think that we should change. When I talk about society, we think in other people, important people, maybe presidents, maybe other nation leaders. But I'm not talking about them, I'm talking about you and me. We are the ones that should change, we are the ones that have been chosen to change our society. This actual world is full of evil and injustice, so we must change it. Most of us are unhappy with the world we live in, so let's do something to change it. It doesn't matter if we are not important people or have a strong influence over the others, it's enough to talk with someone and change his/her way of thinking. What do you think? Would you do something to help me change the world?

hi, changing of a society is in the hands of the people, because if they are not moving or even not motivated to work it out, it does not really work and change even its an ordinance of the city. good leadership of everyone is very important.

The society is nothing but group of people belong to state or country. The views and behaviour of society reflect the culture of particular nation. The society always undergo changes in period of time. The change is also judged by the same society.Hence it is inevitable to live in the society whether we like it or not.

Why do people always want to change the world? Maybe we should change ourselves. Maybe it is not the world that is out of sync, but each of us.

I'd like to change those that spread stupid gossips. A few thumps on the head should do it for them. If only there is a law like that. But seriously, the society is showing more and more of that crab mentality stepping on others to get what they want. I know it includes money but there's always a way to do things fairly, right? They also focus on other's flaws and weaknesses or just plainly put down others so their flaws won't be that recognizable. These fact of life just makes my skin crawl.

If we should change, it should be for the better for the sake of the people closest to us. If you'd seen the movie Pay It Forward starring Haley Joel Osment, that's what we should do. Instead of just paying back a favor we owe, we should learn to pay forward random acts of kindness to people. Why do it if you're not sure the person's worth it? You're taking care of your soul by making sure YOU do the right thing, and eventually others will follow your example.

I recently graduated as a sociology degree and during my many years in this field this question has come up. Unfortunately society is always changing and in many cases the changes are ones that are unfavorable to many people. For example where I live the public school system has adopted direct instruction. This is a system that emphasizes phonetic learning. Usually I would encourage this however after further review I realized the school system took out character education to adopt this system. Since then I have notice the youth in my family are starting to lose their manners. We are constantly struggling to remind them of their manners. The cartoons nowadays too lack the character education the ones of my childhood had. In order to positively change our society we need to find a way to restore character traits in our youth.

In order to see change in the world, we must start at the family and neighborhood level...We must teach the children the norms and morals that we want our world to live by. We must see that our neighborhoods are safe places to live. Then we work to enact and enforce laws in our cities that continue these beliefs. Once the ball starts rolling it should continue. Eventually, if this is done everywhere, we should see a better world. Unfortunately, not all people want this to happen. There is graft and greed everywhere.

Well, I don't think we're really unhappy with the entire world in which we live. I think it's more or less certain aspects of the world which we think should change more to our personal liking. In terms of society changing as a whole, I can't make that call. I don't know whether it should change or not. My reasoning here is that whole "be careful what you wish for" thing. I'm not entirely sure what it would "change" into if it were to change at all. We might end up worse for the wear. You have to think: there would need to be righters of those collective evils and injustices. What type of human being(s) could do that on such a massive scale without a prison warden mentality? I think as long as we have people who want society to change, however, we'll keep it as honest as we possibly can. In this instance, I think the fight to change might be better than the actual change. To quote my favorite writer of all time, Chris Cornell, "The have is not as good as the want."
