What do you think about being told yes mam or yes sir by family members or people you know real well. Do you like it because it makes you feel that they are showing you respect or do you not like it because it makes you feel like they are saying that you are acting like a drill Sargent to them. What do you think about this?

Being called as sir is a bit formal between family members. I'd rather be called by my first name.

Well I think being call Mam or Sir is a little too much it to me sounds like oh being called Master or something. Its not a big deal to me but, to me I think its Best if you show respect by doing and listening instead of saying words. Well my family we should more respect for our elders and parents and loves by saying God Bless You. wishing them the best of health and etc. but I dont think will ever call them Mam or Sir. I think thats more for the ARMY. They require and prefer that as a respecful matter. Which I guess is understanding. I guess if you are a parent and was in the Army then I guess I can see why you want to be call that. If you was a Sargent lol. Thats just my opinion. Take care and happy mylotting :)

Well, to me it really does not matter. I am 29 and still say yes mam no mam every day of my life, So, people who say that do not really bother me at all. That was the way that I was raised to say that. Some people do say you do not have to say that to me I am not old. I do not know what that is all about but I just simply say. Sorry my mom tought me manners and they stuck with me. My family happen to be a little old fashion. I had to ask if I could be excused from the table please and thank behind almost every word. I do have to say it has made me a better person.
