sadly, average people like me has to work for money but wait I guess what the old man was trying to say was I shouldn't get obsessed with money...
ok, the old man is a friend of my fiancée, and they got to talking on how busy I get most days and he told me the line above, I was like "I need to work for money!"...
...funny sometimes we get defensive and not get the gist of what other people tell us...tsk, tsk, tsk to me...

Hi.:)
I think what the old man was really trying to tell you is that it is not necessary to wok too much in order to gain more money and depriving yourself of enjoying life when you have enough already.
My sister is working abroad because she needs the money to support her child. What she is doing is work, work ,work and more work. However, there are times when she can no longer work but feel so tired and she needed a break. So, what she did was hire someone to do the works for her. She's using her money to get what she wants and she's happy with it.
Now, that's what i call life.

it is really tiring to work.if i can only do something and stop from working.
i want to focus more with business but i do not have enough money to do it.
i already invested in a small business.e-loading business.it is helping me
out to earn even a small amount.
I have also a cousin who is in abroad.she is a nurse.she is really rich now.
she was able to buy her own house.but even though she has a lot of money, she is
not happy.

Hello friend, I believe to that sayings that let the money works for you. Yes good but how the money works for us if we don;t have money yet first. On my opinion i will work first for the money and save in order to let my money do my business. Money is just a tool to make us happy and contented because if we had the money we can buy what we like and we begin to be contented. We don;t think where to get the money to buy foods and for tuition fees, bills and a lot more. This is big topic if we will elaborate well about money and the needs in order to and not. We had our opinions and this is mine. Thanks and have a nice day!

Well, tsk, tsk, tsk, is right. I think it is called being human. I guess some people can afford to have money lying around working for them. And yes, sometimes we do get obsessed with money. At a young age you should be looking at 401K's, IRA's, and other options so that when you are old and grey you will have the money for the basics you expect to have now. And we do tend to jump and not take heed to things we don't think we need to hear. We really need to listen more. I wrote an article about that. Maybe you've read it. -?

Mt father had a similar saying which was "Money comes to money". It means that if you have even a little money it is easier to get more, than it is if you have nothing.
For example we have the money to pay for the Internet, and that allows us to make more money through sites like Mylot and others.

Yeah indeed its really easy to say thats but I don't know how to made my money work for me except having my own business and put my money in stock market. Well I don't have thats much for both so I still working for money not the opposite. I think making our money work for us will be totally financial freedom. Which I think quite hard to reach at this moment maybe in 10 years if I work hard.

I wish we all have the same mentality so that somehow, everyone is not so uptight when it comes to money.
I on the other hand values money since it's one key to our survival. I have been planning on having a business but it seems like there are occurrences that teases me - like when it comes to health issues. My money in the bank is often spent to my health or to whoever in the family is in need of my support. Then I have to start from scratch again.
But I believe that there would come a time wherein we won't be slaves to money. And it will not be a reason why some of us have a misunderstanding (because someone fails to pay a certain debt).
As for now, I am trying to enjoy my life. I am earning little but I try myself not get deprive of the things that I need. Especially the quality time that I have for myself as well as for my family.
Don;t worry, marapples. We've all been there what you're going through right now. And maybe someday, we can go back to this discussion of yours and will tell our own experiences of the success that we get.
Cheer up, my friend. =)

This has been my motto for quite sometime now. In the previous months, I was busy earning money for a business I am trying to put up. Fortunately, I was able to come up with a decent capital and now, I am starting to feel my investment. Though I still need to work for it, I am now enjoying the fruit of my hardships and also, I am being able to share it with my family.

Your first liner reminds me of another one liner phrase that taught me a lesson.
I was before tagged as a workoholic, of course I'm a sole provider then, and I really need to work.
But one of my bosses...imagine, he is my boss, telling me that "if you need rest, value your need, your health. Because if you got sick, the company can hire another to replace you, but your family could not find someone to replace you".
I realized it's true. And another realization came into my mind, and this makes the another one liner - "Let's work to live, but let's not live to work".

There is a correlation between these two, unless you inherited the wealth and can idle around. For the rest of us, we need to evaluate our concept on these two friends(?) or enemies(?)
I wrote a short article on these two topics. If you are interested, let me know.
Just remember money is just a means to achieve material things. Don't love it..because you see the bible warning that the love of money is the root of all evil.

right let money work for you, don't let the money ruin your life, money is the solution not the problem. the problem is how to survive right?
