AT the first the iPad, Iphone 4 and iPod touch may look very similar to each other. After all they use same type of operating systems. Is there any advantage or disadvantage of the three or they are same?

Hello Ankitmalvi and welcome to mylot! Of course, the iPhone 4 has an obvious feature the other 2 don't, it's a telephone, you can make and receive calls, send and receive text messages, chat with others that have iPhone and basically everything the iPod Touch have... that is apps, games, social networks. The iPhone and the new iPod Touch both have cameras, the previous iPod Touch didn't. I don't know if the iPad does!! About the iPad, I think it fits better for people that can use it for presentations at school or work, in my opinion it is too big for what I would use it for, I rather have a netbook! Well, I hope this was a little helpful! Have a nice mylotting day.

i think in the ned of all these devices from apple the only one that has a sense can be an ipod touch!!Iphone is too expensive in realtion to hardware and functonalities...beh ipad in reality it is difficult to define it as a useful device..so ipod touch cna be ok for many purposes related to fun, music, appls and so on..and it will cost less than other 2!!

Well, the iPhone and the iPod Touch are fairly similar, except for, like others said, the fact that one is a phone. The iPod Touch can also be used as a phone, however, by using certain VOIP apps. With the older iTouch you must have headphones with a mic for this to work, but I think the new iTouch has a built-in mic so I think it can be used just like a phone. The only catch is that you have to be connected to a WiFi connection for it to work. There are certain limitations however, depending on the application. For example, iCall (available in the app store) works for US users and you can make calls for free. There is a time limitation on each call for free accounts however. Paid subscribers have better plans and minutes. You can make as many calls as you want with the free account, but they each have to be 5 minutes long. I used that in college when I didn't have a cell phone and needed to make short emergency calls home. There are other applications that don't have the same limitation. I forgot the name of one that I have on my Touch that is free. As far as the iPad goes, I don't have one, but I've played around with them in electronics stores. It's larger of course. There are also some apps in the app store that can work for the iPad, but are not available for the iPod Touch and iPhone. One example of this is the ABC app that allows iPad users to watch ABC shows on their iPad for free. This is not available for the iPod Touch (which made me upset). They generally have the same capabilities though. They each have their advantages and disadvantages but that depends on the user's tastes and what their primary use for the item would be. I think it would be more comfortable to watch video on the iPad and the graphics would look cooler when playing 3D games, but it's too big for my uses. And since I have a cell phone now I don't need an iPhone so my Touch works fine for my music listening, game playing, and video needs.

I have the 8g Ipod touch, but haven't ever used the Iphone or Ipad. As far as I know the ipod/iphone are almost exactly like. The only difference is one can make calls and the other can't. I really like being able to use my ipod to pick up wireless internet. It's so much easier than lugging around a laptop. However I'm not really a fan of itunes.

I have never used nor owned an iphone or the ipad, but I do have the 2g ipod touch, which doesn't have a camera, like the new ones out there now have. I would think the ipad would be way to big to carry around, as I like things I can carry in my purse, and that certainly wouldn't fit. My grandson got the new ipod touch for Christmas, and I like the looks of it, as it is really fast compared to my 2g which pokes along most of the time. I won't own an ipad ever. I more than likely will upgrade to the new ipod touch when I have the money, but for now, it works just fine. Take care, and have a very good day.

hello and welcome to mylot! i've never used an ipad, but between the iphone and itouch, they are both very similiar. i believe the iphone is better though. you can talk and text people, and you can use the internet wherever you go. for the itouch, you have to have wi-fi connection.
