I've just made a topic before about the new American Idol judges.. But then I realized, why are we talking about the judges anyway. they aren't the real star of this talent search. The real stars are actually the contestants who have some really inspirational stories. Don't you think? They are the ones who really make the show interesting, inspiring and fun to watch.

Yes, I definitely agree with you. The real stars f any talent search are the contestants and not the judges.. They are the ones who make the show- the judges are just helping them. Thye judges are the bridge for their dreams to come true.

That's obvious that contestants are the real stars. they make the show hit but the show cannot run if there are no judges and its judges reputation that make a show recognized.

The judges this year do fight for a lot of the attention though. Steven Tyler really goes all out to keep the camera on him ha ha.

I have grown bored with American Idol!!! It has NOTHING to do with the judges nor the contestants!!! I'm seeing that the powers that be are trying to control the people who watch the show too much!!! Chris Medina is apparently a GREAT guy; but does being a GREAT guy make him a good singer??? He sings soooo much better than do; but I just didn't hear the quality in his voice that I heard in some of the others. Are they trying to make us attach our heart strings to his obvious faithfulness...which I MUST say is a trait that I admire....but he is there to be judged for his singing ability. I have felt for the last 4 or 5 seasons that Idol has lost on what their mission was when they started. I enjoyed Season 1 & 2 soooo freaking much better than the last 4 or 5 Seasons. They seemed to truly be searching for the hidden raw talent in Season 1 & 2. Now it has evolved into how they can make the MOST money!!! I was thrilled to hear that Simon was leaving as I found him extremely rude!!! So, what did they do to fill his shoes??? They bring in high profile judges that detract further from the quest to find honest raw talent!!! All the talk shows were buzzing about how wonderful Steven Tyler was when he whispered (on mike) to Chris' girlfriend about how much Chris loves her. It made me wonder who wrote that script & how long he rehearsed it???
YES, I AGREE with you...the show SHOULD BE about the contestants & NOT the judges!!!!
