I have a cat, whose name is Polly. Well she's actually my sister's cat, but it's like she's the whole family's. Anyways, the weirdest thing she ever did is eating with her foot! I mean, she puts the food on one foot and the she brings it to her mouth. That's amazing! I've never seen that form any other cat!
So what about you? What's the weirdest thing your cat ever did?

Did your cat sleep in the sink, too? I had a cat who did that all the time. It was incredibly adorable, since the sink was a perfect fit for the cat. But also frustrating, since I was always having to clean cat fur out of the sink.

Eating with the foot is not at all uncommon and I've seen my cats do it many times. They will do this if for some reason they can't or don't want to eat directly from the food bowl, maybe it's too deep, a cat does not like to put it's head into a deep bowl to eat so It'll just reach out and scoop up the food with a paw.
I have also seen my cats putting a paw into the water bowl to find out where the water surface is so they don't go too far and stick their nose underwater - not nice for a cat to do that! Cats are pretty clever creatures when all said and done - but I would say that since I live with seven of them!

Hello Red and welcome to myLot. I just love cats. They have such fun personalities. One of our cat loves to drink her water from a glass. We had to get her a wide mouth glass in order to keep her from drinking out of our drinks. We have one table she is allowed on and her water is kept there. any way ofter she has her drink of water she scratches around like she is trying to bury it like she would her poo in the kitty litter.
We have another cat that likes to imitate the dogs. We have two cocker-spaniels as well as the kitties. Every now and then we will see the kitty laying in the exact same position as the dog and reaching out to her to tease her. If the dog wiggles to scratch her back then the kitty will too. Kitties are so interesting.

Grandma kitty brings snakes to the door that she's playing with, and she has brought me many moles, and the other day I went out the door and said 'what is this'? It was a bird head with its eyes and beak. Just the head. I somehow found that to be grotesqe.

He's not actually mine but my sister's . This Buddy does want to catch mouse. If ever he sees one, he'll make some noise for all to see there's a mice. He won't touch or chase it, he'll just look on you as if telling ,there's a mouse, catch it!

My cats have all done some very weird things, and it's hard to remember which was the weirdest. But certainly a weird thing they've been doing lately is eating sunflower seeds. I've got some shelled seeds that I nibble on and also take out to the bird feeders, and half of the farm cats LOVE them. I've never known cats to eat seeds before. Then again, this group also loves manzanilla olives stuffed with pimentos. They eat the olives, not just lick the brine off. For one of the cats, it actually seems to have an effect like catnip. Since she's a "mean drunk" on catnip, she can't have olives either, which really makes her angry with me.
