You dont' need a credit card. Use your bank account...checking or savings. You can THEN link it to a credit card, but just to open an account...all you need is a bank account.

Once you open the account, you can apply to get PayPal debit card. Then you transfer money from your bank account to your PayPal account and then can use THAT debit card to buy. I did this for my weekly budget. I put on what my weekly budget was, and when I spent that...I didn't shop anymore! It is really a good way to budget ones self.

I don't have a credit card either, you can connect it with your bank account as well, and that's how I did it. I did it a while back, so I'm sure how I exactly did it, but you should be able to find all the information you need on the paypalwebsite itself. Visit the helpcenter to see what you can do. If you still don't find how to do it, I'll have a look for you and see if I can help. :)

You can get a credit card by buying a debit card. With a debit card you don't have to pay interest on it. You only pay as much as you put down on it. The debit card should be enough for you to start your paypal account.

I don't know. It's my understanding too that you have to verify bank information in order to use paypal. I still have some sites who put my money in paypal and some who won't cause they say my account isn't verified, but when I look to try to verify it, they want bank information, and I no longer have an account at this time. Someone answered that you can still have paypal but with less paypal functions. I'm going to look at that.

Hello, Yunako. WElcome to Mylot. I check your profile and saw that you are from the Philippines so I can tell you what I did. I already used my credit card for my first paypal account but then that account had a problem so I need to close it. But the thing is, I can not use my credit card again. So, what I did was I applied for a DEBIT CARD from UNIONBANK. It is stated in Paypal requisites that we need either a credit card OR a debit card in order for our accounts to get verified. Also ,we need a bank account of which we can transfer the money.Without the card our account will not get verified and this could only mean that we can not withdraw our money from paypal, not even a cent....

Don't worry. I too have no paypal account. I have just applied for a credit which is required for opening an account with paypal.

You can open a PayPal account and receive money in to it and use it for paying for things online (sometimes: many places now only accept money from a verified PayPal account) but until you verify it by linking it to a credit card or bank account, you will not be able to transfer the money. You must have an account with a bank that PayPal recognises or have a credit card.

In my country we can directly link the paypal account to our bank account. So no need of credit cards. So just search and see whether this is possible in your account.
