Being the summer capital of the Philippines, Baguio attracts a huge crowd during summer to escape the heat from Metro Manila and other provinces. Recently, the temperature there dropped below 10 degrees celcius, almost reaching negative sometimes. The flowers and vegetables were damaged by frostbite. I hope it doesn't get any worse, because the livelihood of the local folks there will be gravely affected. Nevertheless, our own fellow "kababayans" should take time to see the beauty of this place during summer. The invite goes to all foreigners as well. They will surely enjoy the cool temperature which is much much colder than that of Tagaytay.

did you know that the said frostbite that affected vegetables and flowers has positive effect too!? frost gives a better and juicy taste of the semi temperate vegetables like cabbage - different yet crispy semi temperate crops are better grown in colder temperature.

Compared to Manila, Baguio is much cooler but it is no longer as cold when i was a kid. Baguio gets crowded now, more vehicles and more buildings. Last year when I went up, SM mall is already there, it is now like Manila and all the fastfoods in Manila can be found there. I think it would have been better if Baguio preserved its own identity. I would recommend more Banawe & Sagada for more adventure. But when it comes to nightlife, Baguio has more to offer.

i had a great experience when we went to sm baguio.... instead of putting air conditioners, they spent their budget to maintain the beauty of the mall.
