Maybe that is the world gonna be. I felt so helpless these days, and I just don't know what to do. Ever since the accident, I felt so depressed, because I didn't call the police to write a report, and I simply let that Mexican run away with this. His insurance wasn't going to pay me anyway, because I just received a letter this morning and they won't responsible for any damage or body injury of my side. I can only go back to my insurance, and I am still waiting on the person to come to estimate. The worse, I can't close the trunk of my car right now, and I rely on the scotch tape to tape them close. Gosh, I just out of money to fix that car, and I am still waiting on the insurance money. I felt so helpless right now.

That really sucks, you shouldn't of let the "Mexican" run away you should of called the police, it would of been the right thing to do. I know the helpless felling and i really "feel for you". You always have to remember that everything happens for a reason and maybe the insurance money will be more than you thing. You just have to pray and hope that everything turns out ok. Never doubt your self and keep your head high and always remember God is watching over each and every one of us. I hope that everything turns out ok for you.

Thanks for your encouragement. I just felt so stupid for now, and I didn't what to do when my insurance haven't sent anyone to estimate. I need the money to fix the trunk, because I can't close it. Then I can come up some cash to fix the tail lamps.

Oh dear. That's a really sad story. Insurance companies may need a lot of documents to prove that the damage to your car was not pre-planned. It's a rather complicated procedure that those companies follow in order to evaluate the whole situation. You've surely made a mistake by letting the Mexican run away. To make things worse you didn't lodge a complaint to the police. I don't want to sound negative but this is really going to give you some hard time. But lets look at the bright side of this. You really can't deny the fact that after the accident happened you've become more alert and smart. You're going to be more aware in the legal procedure. We don't evaluate our deeds until we face some kind of shock. You had it. Now you should face it bravely. Compare the financial loss with the things you've gained psychologically. You're more strong in a sense that from now on you'll be more prepared for similar mishaps. This is the greatest gain, even greater than your financial loss. I know that monetary loss is quite depressing but there is always a bright side in everything and in the end you'll find that it didn't even matter to you.

That sounds awful. But I think you might have done a wrong decision of not reporting about that accident. Sure it will require more effort on your part but then reporting that Mexican to the police could have given you a little relief. It's good to teach lessons to such people so that they won't be doing the same thing to others. Anyway, you can always ask help from friends and family or from your neighbors to get you through the day. Asking help doesn't necessarily mean you're helpless. It means you're brave enough to admit that you can't do everything by yourself.

I understand your situation in financial problem and the high wages system in the America.
It is really bad to you.
Whenever you involve in an accident, you must take down all of the particulars of the driver no matter you are right or wrong.
If you can not manage to get those information, you must note down the registration number, the type of vehicle, the color of the vehicle, the date, time and venue of the accident happens.
With these information, you can lodge a proper police report of your accident.
Keep in mind.

So sorry to hear your experience. Why not you catch that guy in the first place? I think you have done what you should do already, just hang out with your friends some time to get a better mood, and use the public transportation for a while. The insurance company will finally pay you back. GOOD LUCK!

Oh, dear... I am so sorry to hear what happened to you.
Owning a car is not always an advantage...
Judging from your post, it seems that you can not force the mexican to pay you a sum for the damages he caused your car. There's nothing you can do right now because you did not report the incident to the police. It is already late to press charges now...
Maybe, you can ask from your friends or relatives, perhaps to lend you some money first so that you can have your car fixed while waiting for the insurance money.
Don't be upset.Just be thankful that it is only the car that got damage and not you. At least, there is something you can still be thankful to the Lord. Hush now, it is just a car. It'll soon be fix.
