Who has certain house rules people have to abide by.

Me personally i have this rule for my company, it may seem weird to some people but understand that everyone is different so you can't bring what you do at your home into mines.
I have this rule that everyone must wipe there nasty feet at the door, I didn't want to go as far as telling them to take the shoes off, because I don't have white carpet but at least they can brush there feet off before entering. Is it a hassle i wouldn't know I just think its polite.

There aren't any house rules that my guests must abide by really. It's not something that I have thought about before. I would need more rules for myself than company I think. When I was a little kid, I would go visit one of my friends and her parents would make me change my socks before I came in. They had an immaculate house and I had no problem at all with that. At another one of my friend's houses there were a lot of different house rules there too.

Well your friends must of been very high class, and yes if I were in that very situation I wouldn't mind at all, why I would keep a extra pair in my pocket and a bag full at there house so when I come over I would always be prepared. lol

I don't think there are some particular rules that I like people to follow when visiting. Even though people brings in muddy feet, I would clean it after, I don't want to be like a piss when people come visiting, I hate that though.

In my home with my family, I have many rules that I have my kids abide by. I don't make anyone wipe their feet off before coming into my house. I will make sure that I tell them to though. It is not a very big issue when they don't wipe off their feet. It is only when my carpet is clean or when I have mopped or vaccummed my floor then. I don't like when my floors get really dirty at all when someone walk all over them.
