My boyfriend and I decided to go out to a local restaurant for breakfast last week and we had a great time. It was a small vintage type of place and there was one woman working there. We sat down for awhile until she noticed we were new there. She told us to get up and make our own coffee next time we come in, its just the way they do things there. She was very funny and it felt just like when you're at home and mom is in the kitchen cooking. We ordered our meals and when it was ready she called us into the kitchen and remembered our names! When we were done I got up to clean the table and put our dishes away. After we paid our bill she wouldn't let us leave without a hug. I have to say it was the best breakfast I have ever had, it felt so much like an awesome home cooked breakfast. We were treated just like she would treat her kids. It's definitely a nice change from big franchises.

I have never heard of this kind of restaurant, which makes guest feel a home from home.we get used to that waiters wait on us,there, use your own hands.I wonder guests all do so ,isn't the order in a mess? and how the price?

Wow.. that is a really nice experience. I have never seen any restaurant do that. That is a really good way t make customers feel at home and comfortable. It would be really nice to have more restaurants like that- everyone would have a good morning.

That really sounds like it was a delightful experience. Never in my life have I ever had any kind of an experience like the one that you've described. My family and I love to go out to eat from time to time, but I don't think that we've ever been in a restaurant that made us feel like we were at home while we were eating. The closest that I've ever come was when I was younger and hanging out in a small town with some people from down there and the only restaurant in town was a place where everyone knew everyone else. In the city that I live in there is nothing that is similar.

Oh that's a pleasant experience, how nice, in the Philippines, we still have a lot of small eateries like that where service is still quite personal, cozy and there seems to be no rush. This is a big contrast when we eat in the mall, everybody seems to be in a hurry and mechanical, I really don't like fast food chains cause I prefer places that you mentioned, but fast foods also have an advantage sometimes, even the kids are used to it.
