Bath Salts?! Really?

It seems the latest drug craze these days involves bath salts: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110123/ap_on_re_us/us_dangerous_bath_salts I always thought bath salts just contained salt, and maybe some scent. But someone, somewhere, found out there are hallucinogenic chemicals in them... huh? how? why? I guess I better be careful how I put them in my bath, and for sure, avoid drinking any of my bath water!

Well, the pipes are frozen so I just had a quick swipe of the wash cloth dipped in melted snow... no salt added.

My thoughts exactly. Just who was the idiot who discovered it and what were they thinking?

What some people won't do... It's bad enough that we can't even buy cold medicine off the shelf, but bath salts? I don't even want to know what comes next. If you really want to use bath salts but don't want to use that stuff (!), make your own. Just some epsom salts with a little essential oil or green tea added makes a great bath!

Good job that we've only got a shower.

So you've never had the urge to snort bath salts?

Well in my day we would never think of such a silly thing as sniffing bath salts. We just smoked stuff like normal people do. What is this world coming to?

Wow, that's crazy. But even our drinking water isn't really safe. Fluoride is terrible for us. I love my baths, though. But with my sensitive skin I rarely use fancy bath things. The smells are too strong and then i get all itchy. I use as many unscented things as possible. Which, even for people without sensitive skin, is much healthier. God, I sound like such a hippy sometimes.

Oh my what will they think of next. Back in the 60's people were smoking banana peels trying to get high. Don't think it worked. I will never look at bath salts the same way again. Have no desire to try them. Don't have any use for them neither, just have a shower.

Well, I can't afford baths right now. Water is way to dear, but when I can, I like to put bath salts or oils or gels or whatnot in my tub. I've been using bath salts for over 30 years and have yet to get an urge to consume or snort them.
