My longest trip - I drove from Los Angeles to Madison Wisconsin. It took me about four days. I stopped to spend the night in Vegas, Denver and finally Omaha before making it to WI. I enjoyed crossing The Rockies - beautiful at sunset! Awesome seeing new places along the way.
Next longest trip would have been central CA up to Seattle and back. I spent 4th of July on the river in Portland Oregon. Absolutely beautiful!
How about y'all??!

My longest road trip was from my home in New Hampshire to Florida. It tooks us two days just because we took our time and only drove for 12 hours a day. It was a pretty uneventful trip. We left early in the morning to avoid the traffic. It was interesting to drive though the weather changes. The first time I went to Florida I took a plane. Getting off the plane in 90 degree weather was a bigger shock than driving south into the gradually changing temperature. Some day I would love to driv cross country to the west coast. I just can't seem to find anyone willing to go with me. I think that it would be interesting to see the whole country.

Yeah, the weather changes are amazing. My brother came from CA to WI to visit last month and was freezing his toosh off. He went from 90 degree weather to pre-winter 40's.
I would love to drive from coast to coast as well, see it all! I would also like to travel overseas, but I suppose a road trip is out of the question getting there. ;O)

Cool! I've been to Texas. I saw the Alamo and enjoyed shopping in San Antonio. I had some of the best chicken fried steak ever!! Good times!
However, we cheated and took a plane that time. :O)

I had a cross country trip onetime. My dad and i took the train from seattle to Pennsylvania to pick up a car we bought, and we drove up to new Hampshire and then straight back across the country back to Washington. It took about 2 weeks and wasn't very fun because it was about 100 degrees and it was a 30 year old car with no AC.

Oooh...that does sound like no fun. I was lucky, my car has a good AC so i was very comfortable along the way. My CA-WI trip was also in early May, so the weather was nice. :O) Thanks for responding!
