I am currently a registered nurse, and has a Bachelors Degree. I recently passed the board exam. I want to decide on pursuing Masters Degree, but I'm not sure what I want this for... I'm confused or perhaps I don't know what to expect on taking Masters Degree. I am also in doubt, because right now, I have only little or no experience in work, and that's what's holding me down. If you have any idea what benefits I would have in the near future if I take Masters Degree, please give me an over view on this. I would really gladly appreciate it.

I currently work in Human Resources for a major academic hospital system and what I can tell you is that the Masters degree in nursing is going to help you if you ever decide to move into management in nursing even though the experience as a nurse will be invaluable. I would suggest getting some real nursing experience and make it as diverse as you can and then if you are interested in the future to become a CNO or any other level of management in nursing, the masters degree will be necessary especially for Magnet Hospitals.
