Fox has rejected a Superbowl commercial ad with the theme Jesus Hates Obama. The ad and the corresponding website are the work of a comedian, but the concern is whether the viewers will see it as a joke.
Take a look at the 30 sec ad and tell us what you think.

I read through most of the posts here and I agree on both counts. The commercial is stupid, I cant believe they wanted to pay all that money for a superbowl spot. And Jesus does not hate anybody. That was the point. To be a Christian means to be Christ -like. Being Christ-like is to love the sinner and hate the sin. So no matter what, Jesus would not have hated Obama. I think the guy is just trying to get the shock factor. Its just stupid.

When/where did Jesus hate? Christians are not perfect, we are just forgiven. There are extremists in every group. It is not right to say all Christians are haters, it is just not true. People claiming to be Christians and then spreading hate really are not walking the walk.

Hello djb. I think commercial is very crass and shouldn't be put on TV at All. I am a Christian and Know that Jesus doesn't hate any one. In fact he love everyone. I don't see how any one would take this commercial as a joke. It is in very poor taste.

Poor joke, poor taste - I agree. The guy who made this has a website where he sells Jesus hates obama t-shirts and things.
My hunch is that he is a liberal, and he is sending a message to mock Christians and make them look like hatemongers. What do you think?

I think it was in poor taste for a joke if it really was a joke. Something fishy about his supposed investors coughing up that kind of money to get air time also. I am guessing FOX with its right wing and christian following would probably view that as a bit too much even though most of them to hate President Obama using Jesus would be going to far for them. He said he sold apparel out of the trunk of his car. I have to wonder what type of people buy this stuff.

Well, it was kind of silly. I could see it being a little bit funny, but then again I don't have any strong feelings invested in either Obama or Jesus.
I think Christians would be ticked off by the thought that Jesus could be petty enough to wear a t-shirt denouncing anyone for any reason.
It wasn't very intelligent, to say the least.
