Today I went to go Iron my Clothes, my Boyfriend was in the shower and my Boyfriend Mother was on her Computer. My friend was the only one that wasn't doing anything and sat down on the sofa where my iPad was lay on. later to come find out when I went to go grab my ipad it didnt want to turn on anymore. Nothing wanted to work. The screen is just Black. I ask my Friend what happen to the Ipad she said I don't know maybe its Dead or something. I said no it was @ like 60% + battery life.
Then she said I didnt sit on it or anything or drop. (I didnt ask you if you did) so yeah She gave herself away and still she says she didn't sit on it. (So right now I'M very sad and disappointed)
I dont know what to do other then see if needs a Software update or something.

You mean that your friend broke it. And you want her pay for the Ipad. Right? You could say to your friend straightly. It's not problem if you and your friend share the fees to fix the Ipad.

Yea your right, she broke it. I told her we will take ti the apple store so the genius people can see and see whats wrong with it and decided what needs to be done and how much it will cost to get it fix. If not she will have to replace it. So she agree with it and said yeah thats sounds fair and fine lol

your friend may have sat on it and broke your i pad but in my opinion you are also to blame for leaving it where people would sit i mean it would be different if you had sat your ipad on a counter top or on a table but you did set it down where polite people would sit so i feel you are as much to blame as your friend however your friend should have admitted to breaking it and offer to pay partly for the repairs

Didn't you think to get Insurance for it when you bought it in case something like this happened? Or does Insurance not cover this? I know when I buy any Electronic item, the first thing I do is make sure I have some type of insurance with it as this is the Best thing I can do as you never really know, especially with all the $$ invested. I hope something can be done other than having to buy a new one. Wishing you the Best.

Yeah I understand what you mean lol. But there was a a n option to get insurance for the iPad it didn't cover any of that it just coved the normal things if something goes wrong with it software wise not hardware if it gets destroy your problem type of insurance lol .but yeah I update this discussion recently i think the other day haha. But yeah I fix it myself I usually don't get insurance because the fact that most of my items don't break I just don't think someone is going to sit on my iPad lol.

Yeah I agree but I saw on a YouTube video that some man just drop it in from his lap and the screen end up having a line across it and it was done he was testing it out. It's just alumina and the touchscreen is like hard glass but glass that is very hard to starch you will need something sharp to starch it very bad mines got little tiny starches but they are tiny and it wS from my rusty bracelet which I wore for over 2 years and that day was the last day I wore it promise you that lol . But yeah what can you expect from something that is half of inch and weight a pound lol .

I would be upset as well. Especially since your friend didn't doing anything at first, instead of just admitting to it. It seems that it would just make things a little easy to admit it straight off the bat. But at least, she is willing to replace it if need be, right? So, that's a good thing.

Yeah Im sure anyone will be mad that's hundreds of dollars down the drain right into the trash and getting burnt on fire later on. It's upsetting and I wasn't crazy mad but just very upset more sad if upset. But yeAh I agree why not just say hey I Broke it sorry I will try my best to replace it or pay for the fix job or something not just keep lien after you sort of bascailly told on yourself. Wow is all I can say but hey I know my friend and she will go on for the rest of her life saying she never broke it. To me she tells her self that so she won't feel so bad in the end.

Though you have a strong suspicion that your friend sat on it but the fact that you did not caught here red handed, you can not force her to pay or you may want to voice out your suspicion and risk losing a friend or turning her to be an honest and responsible friend (but could you?)
In this case, dear, you can not do anything about it.
I think the LCD is the one broken. My husband rolled over my laptop then, nothing appeared. LCD was broken. He sat on our digital camera and we can vaguely see a picture on its monitor. LCD was broken. Lastly, he sat on his phone and like what happened to your phone, nothing works. We found out that LCD, again, was the one broken.
Yes, it probably will cost you a lot to have it fix.

Yeah I understand what you mean not to just red hand people and blame them for breaking something if I never seen it happen with my two eyes and if I did it will be my word against theres it will be a battle of back and forth situation and the fighting will never end. Just I knew my friend for years and I know how she is she has lie about the dumbest things you can think of and I will never got mad about it in the beginning and I ask her why would you lie about someibg so harmless it's not like it's something serious. So her breaking this she will go on saying she never sat on it for e rest of her life. Believe me I know how she is. Plus her saying I never sat on it when I didn't even ask her if she did. All I just said do you know what happen to my iPad the screen doesn't want to work. And what can I say you told on yourself in the end. Blaming someone for something that cost a lot of money is serious but I bet if it requires a lie detector test then she will fail haha.. But I still treat my friend like a friend. I guess because I'm humble person is what keeps me happy because i have more reason to be happy then to be upset all the time.
