Guys, do you love only one genre of music/ a couple and diss the others?

I hate how a lot of people think only heavy metal and headbanging are THE S**t and everything else is just S**t.
I think a true music lover would listen to every genre he/she ever comes across and get inspired by it. You know, maybe they wouldn't like the music but they at least don't have to diss it out!
I've seen people fight in YouTube on taking sides with Justin Bieber and Slipknot, I believe you have too, in several other contexts.
Don't you just hate how people keep poking their head in other people's businesses?
Music is such divinity and I don't think people should fight over the genres they love and they should just respect the genres they don't listen to or care about.
What do you think?

I love music. And no matter what genre as long as it touches my heart I would still love the song. I'm not into heavy metal songs though but I don't hate them either.
A song is from the soul, and it says everything from the heart.

hey, thanks for the response!
You're right about what you said. I like you!
What kind of stuff do you listen to?

Almost anything, from the classic like Moonriver up to the new songs. As I have said as long as it touches my heart, I would surely loved the music.
I just love music. I used to sing with my dad under a big mango tree and we sing almost everything. He plays the guitar and I sing. I used to play the guitar too before but wasn't able to pursue that career. My brother though plays really good if I may say. :)

I like music but I cannot decide what kind of genre I like most. Sometimes I would tell it is blues, sometimes it is jazz, often it is pop. So, I would say that I like all kind of music. Or should I say I love hearing some music? Does not matter whether it is sad, happy, metal, pop, classic or modern. I can take anything.

Thank you for your reply!
Yeah I like being undecided on what my favorite music is. I love being able to listen to almost everything. :P

I don't really care what genre it is. It's just a label. I listen to more of some genres than others, but it really doesn't have to do with the genre.

Hi inneed,
I love a wide spectrum of music: from Beethoven to Strauss, to Handel. I also like to listen to contemporary Pop and Country Rock, from Metallica, Scorpions, The Eagles, John Denver, and many more.
I dont have much problem listening to music, any kind of music, loud or soft, fast or slow, as long as the audio equipment belts them out in 5.1 channel and in hi-fi, with chest-thumping bass, soaring midrange and screeching tweeters.

Good question here. I myself used to think about that too. I think that music is the voice of your soul, if you limit yourself by listen to only a couple of genres it means you limit your soul and imagination as well. I listen to all kind of music, as long as I feel good and the song touch me deep inside. Doesn't matter what genre is the song. This music thing is subjective. I never have the fight on youtube with others like you've mentioned there but I find it's true somehow. Justin Bieber's music is not the worst thing ever, but it don't show you the true music. You can listen to it and like it, but then you'll forget it like you've never known it. Maybe that's why they call pop. Every dog has his time.

I love all types of music but alternative/rap/hip hop/pop are my favorite by far. Those musicians are the most commercialized and that's for a good reason
