One of my friends wants to buy a new phone. Right now he's confused with the following choices:
Nokia X6 (Symbian)
Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini pro (Android)
HTC Wildfire (Android)
Please let me about your opinion about which phone he should buy...

Android would be my choice. I have used an Android phone and I'm very much sure that when I buy a new phone it will be android based. This is because the number of applications that are available for that phone. Many options are there and I'm sure HTC will be a very good choice.

I prefer Android as I like the apps that the phone has, as there are thousands of them. Some are free and some aren't, and for now, I am only putting one on my phone that are free. I didn't know if I would like the Android phone or not, and since this is my second Android phone, I am sticking with it. I am using a samrtphone, and like one user said, the battery life in them isn't all that good, but I can get almost 2 days use out of it before I have to charge it again. At first I was having to charge it everyday, but since I put an app on it that saves battery life, it seems to be doing so much better, than without it. I do wish it had a better battery in it, but I have to live with it for now, and hopefully they will come out with an extended battery for it. Take care, and have a very good day.

That depends on what he will use it for. If it just purely as a phone then Symbian should be fine. Battery life is much better with those non-smart phones.
But if he is interested in add-on and downloading apps then Android or iPhone might be a better choice.
