Why do some people post everything that they own in Facebook?

I have noticed that a lot of people have been posting pictures of the things they own and like everything they own.Its like showing off to people.I do not think its proper to post every single thing they own in facebook. I just cannot think of any reason for them to do that except to show off and so what if they do have those? its as if they are the only ones who can have those.

Its understandable if it was say a new car that they'd been saving for and were exited to have it, but I agree with what you are saying. I've got a few FB friends who post every photo they've ever taken and most of them are very unflattering or of their pets.
I think those people that show off all their possessions like that are inviting robbery

Its ok to post pictures of their pets, but Ive seen pictures of fave toiletries, fave pens... hello! why post some colored gel pens? hahaha!people loves posting nonsense things they own. Ive seen someone in my facebook who posted the toiletries that she will bring to Malaysia. I mean, so what? I do not need to know the kind of soap, sanitary napkins, toothpaste brand that she will bring.so non sense! A picture of a pet is more acceptable than posting a bunch of sanitary napkins and palmolive shampoo and the brand of conditioner they use!

yeah! weird right? posting their gel pens for what? to show off people that they use gel pens? hahaha!jeez! That tagging of you is more acceptable.Ive never posted my luggage in facebook.But nowadays people are posting nonsense things like, they want the world to know the brand they use for writing. Ive seen starbucks planner posted.. like, uhm.. ok... Is that supposed to be a big deal now?
